I love Eddie Gran, probably more than any poster, but this does not seem like a role where he is a good fit. They need a data/technology driven person to pull it off.

Or a buisness/sales guy like Alan Stein

If he is such a great coach and hot item, correct me if I am wrong but was he not retained by South Carolina and Bama ?
His early success here was with kids schlarmin had recruited and coached.

I don’t have a dog in this fight but Bama doesn’t count IMO. Washington had a good OLine and that coach was willing to follow DeBoer.

In the vast majority of cases when a new head coach is an outside hire, as opposed to an internal promotion from assistant to HC, the new coach brings in his own choice of assistants.

This looks like those first few years of Stoops but I fear we look more like a spin class now.

I remember a vid of Stoops in ‘14 in the middle of a tough line skeleton, screaming like a 19 year old with his players.

Maybe he and the staff and team can recreate the toughness to get back to winning seasons.
