I saw a tweet earlier today about Avery Williamson hanging out with Stoops at the FB complex. This kind of outreach to former players is great to see.

I agree with this, once a UK Wildcat he is always a UK WIldcat, same with every other college program regardless of the level they play. But one strange thing about Mark Richt was he wasn't very welcoming to players who played for previous coaches and only luke warm to his players when they returned to campus. I never understood his stance on that. Kirby on the other hand welcomes all of them who want to attend, lots have said how much more welcome he makes them feel than their own old coach.

A former player who is a lifelong friend of mine says going back now for games/visits and the difference in the past is both stunning and humbling. Glad to see it. Just wish some of the pics I've seen would've identified the ex-players.

Its a great recruiting advantage also. When those recruits are able to see the faces of the NFL players up close and personal, the sell of we can get you to the NFL becomes a reality and not just a story.
