UK just got a CB for Dakota Patterson
I was just wondering what position he winds up at, because he doesn’t really seem fast enough for wide reciever. Maybe I’m wrong.
Well, I'd like to see him in person, but he just doesn't seem athletic/explosive/quick enough to play receiver in the SEC. Kentucky offered him very early in his high school career and he seems like one of those guys who just hasn't progressed really since then. I'd like to see him add some weight and try LB, if he has the mindset for it. Not all kids do though.

As many already know, 2023 RB prospect Kaden Moorman from Frankfort just committed to UK. Moorman also holds an offer from WI, Coach Settle's former employer. Rated the #4 player in KY in 2023.
Moorman is listed at 5'10" 205#. By the time he gets into a game at UK, he might weigh 210-215# because of UK's development program. I am not suggesting any direct comparisons, but that would put Moorman on a physical trajectory to be similar to Snell and Rodriguez in terms of size and muscle. I have not yet had a chance to see Morrman play in a hs game. From what I can tell at this point, Moorman looks like a legitimate SEC RB prospect.

I would like to take a look now at some other 2023 UK targets.
Coach Stoops has said he wants the best home state talent. So here are some instate 2023 UK targets-
Trevon Alexander, OL, Ratcliff- Huge body. Plays for a hs program that has become a UK pipeline. Needs to reshape his body, but has good strength, long arms, and a Power 5 type of frame. Probably a college RG. May or may not be a take.
Micah Carter, DL, Louisville- UK is his only SEC offer, but that might change in the next several months. In Stoops' 3-4 defense, Carter would be developed as a DT with the possibility of moving outside to DE. He would be a take. I think Carter will eventually choose between UK and UL, with UK perhaps more likely. Sometimes things change once the big offers start coming. But Coach Marrow has done a good job of recruiting him, and UK's defense is having a great season.
Saadiq Clements, DL, Henderson- UK is his only current SEC offer. UL and IU have also offered. Big body, but would need some development before playing Power 5 football. Probably a DT. May or may not be a take.
Cristian Conyer, ATH, Bowling Green- Rated the #2 hs player in KY in 2023. Already holds 6 Power 5 offers (plus Cincinnati). Has 3 SEC offers. Probably a college safety but could get a look as a receiver. Definitely a take, and is UK's to lose at this point.
Thomas Howard, ATH, Lexington- A hs TE who might fit as an edge LB in college but would require development. UK is his only current Power 5 offer. I doubt he is a take, but he is a Frederick Douglass hs product.
Jacob Jones, QB, Nicholasville- UK is his only Power 5 offer. The 2021 hs season could improve his offer list. I doubt he is a take as a QB.
Dakota Patterson, ATH, Corbin- Rated as the #3 hs prospect in KY in 2023. Currently holds six Power 5 offers although UK is his only SEC offer. I might be wrong but I don't think he has all the athletic tools necessary to be a WR in the SEC. Probably projects as a safety or Will LB. Might be a take but not a given.
William Spencer, DL, Louisville- Rated the #1 hs player in KY in 2023. Already holds four Power 5 offers, but UK is his only current SEC offer. Probably projects as a college DT or NT. He is a take. This may come down to a UK vs. UL battle.

Who knows? The dumbass lineman from Scott County that transferred from Virginia Tech picked U6 over us . Some kids just aren’t very smart.

But we've pulled alot of those types from there over the years. I bet

On Woo Spencer, he is an Aspirations Gym kid. Not much else needs to be said.
Goodwin still visiting Ohio St, Mich St, etc still doesn't make me feel good but big boy recruiting isn't suppose to make you feel at ease lol
Even before he committed here, it was said that while he would still likely take other visits, he would be signing with Kentucky regardless. I still believe this to be true and would be shocked if he ended up elsewhere, especially with the season UK is having.
So when do we start seeing top 10 recruiting classes? We beat LSU and Florida. I would like five 5⭐ recruits now, please.

Gym in Louisville where the trainer has become close to Marrow and UK. Some of the guys that go or have went there for training include Wan'Dale Robinson, Carrington Valentine, Dare Rosenthal and Kiyaunta Goodwin just to name a few. It has developed into a very good connection for Kentucky.

Don’t know what position they project , but I personally heard coach Stewart say that he thought the Saunders kid and the Dinkins kid would be as good or better as anyone we have playing Dline this year . I’m thinking they are true freshmen so it sounds like we have some guys already here. I realize we need more though .
Yes, both are true freshmen. Right now they're a little on the light side, 280 or so, but another year in the S/C program will do wonders for them. Saunders is getting PT, Dinkins is said to be 6'7" now.
Maybe 4 and 5 star players aren’t really that good I think I will leave the recruiting to Stoops and Vince Marrow
