At least there was enough awareness to do it this quickly. Unfortunately they couldn’t have employed that BEFORE the series was released.
Impressive way to flush 180 million dollars. Next stop remove from Disney plus and take a tax write down.

Two good seasons of Mando and that's about all they can hang their hat on. Not to mention, they produce so much content that it's no longer special. It's just exhausting just as much as the formula is,

Sometimes in the name of inclusion and diversity you have to be able to let 50,000 see themselves on the screen while losing 20 million people who were already fans.
Supposedly Kathleen Kennedy wants to retire but has wanted a hit before announcing her retirement. She thought Indiana Jones would be a hit but it lost over $100 million. She's going to end up dying there before ever getting to leave. They have 2 Star Wars projects announced, and neither are getting much buzz.
Wait till her all female cast and crew, star wars most woke ever vomit, comes out next yr
Imo andor is significantly better. By far best star wars series out there.
Pretty incredible to watch companies flush hundreds of millions down the drain on projects everyone knew would tank then have them blame the failure on nonsense make believe hate. People watch things that are entertaining. These things are not entertainment.
For nearly 10 years, when all of the woke stuff flops, the immediate reaction is to attack the audience.
I was generally excited about Kenobi. Then came the bait and switch. “This will now be the Reva story.” Disney then had to portray her as the victim as they supposedly found one or two accounts on the internet with no followers who supposedly was racist/threatening and then blasted that everywhere to lump all criticism of her terrible acting and character into being “racist” and “sexist.”
Of course they had to make it to where Reva was actually the one responsible for Luke being sparred and saved. 😂 The worst.

Disney did the same bait and switch with the marvel stuff. Ant man, moon Knight, and Hawkeye were all bait and switch.
This is dumb. I don't really care who the cast is as long as it is entertaining, tells a captivating story and has likable characters. Some of my favorite things to come out in recent years have been driven by female protagonists.
There has been amazing female protagonists dating back to 40 years ago- Alien, Terminator, etc. You can tell when a story is organic and when the story becomes about 'identity.'
Iger bought Lucas Film specifically to bring in teen boys and young men to the Disney customer base. They had plenty of girls of all ages but after boys hit their teens they usually didn't watch much Disney stuff. KK took that $4 billion and flushed it down a drain for her politics and Iger is too big of a coward to fire her.
Yep. Modern writers couldn't write a character like Ripley or Sarah Connor. They'd Mary Sue them to the point of being unlikable.

The point of an all girl everything, story writer, director, producer, cast is not because they are trying to put out a good story. It's because they are trying to force feed their feminists views.
Disney never cared about Lucas or the story. Lucas gets residual income off of all his original characters and story lines. He offered mountains of material to them and they flat out rejected him.
My opinion is in line with what Lucas has said, yours is just your opinion. Which is fine. That series had serious potential and they ruined it. No one is going to watch the new stuff because of this. They are purposefully putting out content to stick the middle finger up to anyone who is from Lucas's era. It doesn't bother you, which is still fine.
But I'm right. I'm always right. Even more than @HymanKaplan . Just saying!
And I'm usually just being a smart ass. I'm not a hard core fan of anything. I enjoyed it for what it was. It's not what Disney is doing but why they are doing it that irritates me.
