i would say this is a very accurate list. and no wall should not be on this list......louie dampier would be ahead of wall. but I agree with the list as is.

There is no reason that Cotton Nash isn't on the top 10 list, Nash is the only players that was a All American 3 years in a roll at Kentucky.

If Davis stayed 3-4 years then maybe he would be my #1. As it is, Issel is.

I'm allowed to have an opinion...Give ME a break.

As I make this post, don't get me wrong, I think Davis is the real deal and an absolutely stellar talent.

I think some fans have put him in the early Tiger Woods category. When Woods won his first Masters, there was a contingent of fans that were ready to put the GOAT hat on him and pull it off of Palmer and Nicholas. Well, that was way too early and he didn't have the credentials under his belt. However, folks want the "best ever" in their generation.

A lot of the younger crowd (and some older) want to put Davis at the head of the pack. However, like Woods, he simply doesn't have the career credentials to do so. Frankly, I thought third was pretty generous. Had he played all four years, then very likely (almost certainly) things would be different. As it is, he did not earn the top spot. I think, given that he is a fierce competitor, the person most likely to say he didn't earn it in just one year would be Anthony Davis.

if we're talking BASKETBALL PLAYERS, not BASKETBALL ACCOMPLISHMENTS then John Wall is top 5. Top 10 minimum. Dude's the best PG I've ever watched at UK including old game film from way back. Anthony Davis has to be #1 or #2 and 2 may be pushing it.

Isn't it kinda crazy with the amount of talent that has come thru lexington and the best player just came thru? That says a lot about AD. I thought he was going to be a really good player in the NBA but had no idea he would be this effective offensively. Dude is a beast.

I never do "greatest UK players" lists of any kind because you have to leave people out, but I think it is a pretty good list.

It is very difficult to judge players of different generations because the physical attributes of the players have changed and the game itself is always changing. IMO the only thing to do is look to see how dominating they were against their peers.
