I seriously don't recall ever hearing any other song from them but they were big in the UK I think.
“In the Meantime” is a fantastic song.
Here are a few that come to mind:
“Sucked Out” by Superdrag
“Closing Time” by Semisonic (I know they had some other stuff that may have made the radio, but this was their only hit)
The aforementioned “Flagpole Sitta” by Harvey Danger
“What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes
“Stacy’s Mom” by Fountains of Wayne
And, as much as I dislike the song, “Tubthumping” by Chumbawumba

I like that song. I always thought it was Eric Burden.
How "What's up" became a hit is beyond me. For me, that's the worst song I've ever heard. It has zero redeeming qualities and the singers voice? Up there with Yoko Ono as the worst female "singers" ever in my book.
It’s not conventional by any means and I see how you think the way you do, but I love the passion in Linda Perry’s voice. There’s a lot behind her voice (unlike Yoko). Check out “Spaceman” by 4 Non Blondes if you want another example. But again, I totally get what you are saying.
With that said I did the song. It’s a jam.
They were labeled the next Beatles at the time.

There are numerous acts on this list that have multiple hits.
Unlike Jimi Hendrix who only had one top 40 hit.
Purple haze only got up to about 60 or so.
This does bring up something i’ve thought about. Who are some great 2 hit wonders?
Golden Earring with Twilight Zone and Radar Love would have to be extremely high on that list.
I think Al Stewart is a two hit wonder. I could be wrong. Year of the Cat and Time Passages.

A personal favorite would be Zebra with Tell me what you want and Who’s behind the door.
Someday I Suppose was big enough to not warrant them being called a One Hit Wonder.
