That's been the thoughts for months. I first heard that over a year ago, wonder what the connection is?

NCSt has put multiple Olineman in the NFL the last few years.

Spike’s father played many years in the NFL so he probably knows what to look for.

NC State and other Heeler schools probably have NIL contacts comping OBX houses and charters all day long... keeping mom & dad happy... to say nothing of the standard ish.

No shock, they recruited him hard, a good ACC school better than UL program wise. Might have thought the route of playing C at UK didn't look that open for several yrs.

I assume Keenan is heir apparent to Eli....but who else? (And Sowells would be 2 classes apart from Keenum)

I think Selma is too strong/athletic to keep off of guard rotation....but maybe he's a Center as well.

Talk last Spring that Aba Selm was getting a look a Center. Highly regarded Koby Keenum running second team. I'd like to have Sowells but he's a wee bit undersized and has short arms. Doesn't mean he can't work thru that, Drake Jackson did. Rowland implied this was a left over effect of Yenser. Imagine VM keeps his contact info.

Drake had amazing technique and a toughness a lot of these kids do not have. That is something that has been missing in the OL. Toth, fortner, you could go were tough mean SOB that would rip your head off. Several UK has brought in are too soft. I talked to a former coach, trainer that had worked with a few of the guys that transferred out and he said the same thing about each of them. He said he knew before they got they wouldn’t make it. Of the guys that left, Buford was the only one that had that type of toughness. He said his problem was all between the ears and if it ever clicked he would have been by far UKs best OL
