Sounding like the Jason Hart hire is starting reap its benefits

I'd love to see an all-out full court press.

This team is deep enough to pull it off.

People say that you can't do it anymore; that it won't really work because of the extra commercial timeout and because of the quality of guards.

They forget that Nolan Richardson and Rick Pitino were pressing people into the ground back in the day when guys like Iverson, Jalen Rose, Edney, Hurley, and Bibby were running point guard for multiple years in college.

The point in a press is to maximize offensive possessions and wear down opponents. We have the offensive weaponry and depth this year to get it done, and it looks like we might have it again next year as well.
It isn't strictly about the quality of point guards but rather the other effective ball handlers that can relieve pressure or just bring it up.

Even Pitino isn't all about pressing anymore and was reducing the focus even before he went to Boston.

Let's talk the current game rather than looking back through the nostalgia googles.
Pressing is mostly a shake up. a tool in the bag for weak ball handling teams, or a way to burn clock by slowing the other team down.
