Green Bay filed for a waiver from the NCAA to allow its men's basketball team to compete in The Basketball Tournament, the $1 million, winner-take-all summer tournament.

Granted I don’t have every detail of how it works but from what I know I kinda wish it would go the route of baseball. Sign with a pro team, stay in college and get better knowing you got a place when your ready.

Agreed. I see no logical argument now to not allow it.

It’s in the summer, so the NCAA can’t claim it interferes with their season or the academic calendar. They already allow games against pros on those overseas trips, and the money shouldn’t be an issue now that CBB players can be paid. So why not?

And, from a fan perspective, the “old vs. young” dynamic would be entertaining.

Here at Kentucky, basketball has always been PRO. You can't think of college basketball and not think Kentucky. You just can't.

And I'm all in.

It's ironic the one thing the NCAA has the most power over to actually do something constructively positive in this process, which is to revamp the entire officiating process and regulating that, they don't touch. (they'll go to 4 quarters per game before they ever do anything about officiating, imho)

I'm just ready to see this team get to play. As it should be. It's the offseason. We get to talk about things as fans. It's what we do.

Four years of eligibility. Period. And if you go pro, then decide to come back, you should be able to.

How much would Ohio St. pay LeBron for the next four years? LOL!
