That could very well be true, but I'm not sure that is the only team we are fighting for seeding in the tournament. That just happens to be the team we are currently in line with. However, if you can manage to win tonight, throw Saturday to the wolves, then get Butler back for the game against Oklahoma, and Robinson back by at least the Missouri game, you could end up 4-2 over the last 6 games, putting you at 10-8. Miss. St has one likely loss against Alabama when they visit, and they still have to go to Arkansas, which could be another loss, and remember, we own the tie breaker against them by virtue of the win at their place.
However, there are 3 other teams that also have a chance to be 10-8 or worse, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Tennessee. There is even an outside chance that Missouri gets there as well. They won't all get there, but there is a chance 1 or 2 of them do:
Texas A&M (9-4) : Auburn, @ Florida, Vanderbilt, Tennessee
Ole Miss (8-5): @ Auburn, @ Florida, @ Vanderbilt, Tennessee
Tennessee (8-5): Alabama, @ Texas A&M, @Ole Miss
Missouri (8-4): Alabama, @ Vanderbilt, Kentucky, @ Arkansas
Miss St (7-6): @ Alabama, @ Arkansas
If we were to win tonight, @ Oklahoma, LSU and @ Missouri, to become 10-8, we would own the tie breaker over all of those teams minus Ole Miss, and if it is multiple teams tied we would have the tie-breaker, unless it is just Miss St and Ole Miss. A 3-3 record or less, and there is almost no shot of not playing on Wednesday.
