Coach K and Ole' Roy had to watch the Derby and now lose Knox. LMAO! Cal is a mass murder, and just thnk how nasty it's gonna get when those two finally throw the towel in and retire.

If everything goes according to plan:

Green
Diallo
Knox
Washington
Bamba

I think people still expecting Diallo back at this point are going to be upset.

I do agree we will get Bamba though (to the other poster). Texas has me a bit nervous though, even though they suck.

man...i can't wait.

I really want Bamba and Diallo to come back. Holy SHIT, it would be exciting year.

With the recruiting class we already have, I don't see how Bamba wouldn't want to be a part of it.

I was really interested in SKJ when he came in, and I was absolutely convinced that he would transfer after the 2016-17 season. If he has the whatever-it-takes to come back to U.K. and compete for a position, after the way Calipari treated him in 2016-17, then that speaks volumes to me in terms of what can be expected of the young man in the coming season. If he really comes back, then I'm an SKJ fan for life ! With that said . . . I think Gabriel is also a much better player than he was allowed to demonstrate last season. Unfortunately . . . we can get the talent, and then we can't coach them up to the heights that they could realistically reach, individually. Just a fact.

Gabriel had tons of chances last year. He failed.

And leave it to you to bash Calipari tonight. It never fails. Of course you think Pitino is a better coach than Rupp so we already know you know nothing about basketball.

I'm guessing the people who put up Knox at sg have never seen him play, he can't play sg. His athletic and a good spot up shooter. Struggles to handle the ball, get past players due to transitioning from PF to SF. That's just on offense, on defense he's even further away.

His shooting MAY give him a start at SF but I doubt it due to Vanderbilt being better at everything other than shooting. H likely battles with PJ, Wenyen, SKJ at PF. It's possible that Vanderbilt plays some sg IF he shows he can defend it, in which case Knox might just start at the 3 and Vandy at 2 (if Cal doesn't get Diallo or Cam)

It's also possibly that Alexander starts at SG

Quade
Alexander
Vanderbilt
Wenyen
SKJ

As it stands now. Most forget that freshmen become sophomores and have a year under their belt AND we're five stars before they came to UK so they dismiss Wenyen and SKJ but don't be surprised if both start next year to begin the year

That, sir, is definitely NOT a fact. It is a mere opinion; and a terrible one at that. No one gets young talent to live up to the hype more than John Calipari. Just, wow.

Experience counts; we have only ten scholarship at this time.

Early Nov
1.Green
2.Knox
3.Vanderbilt
4.Gabriel
5.SKJ
6.Washington
7.Alexander
8.Richards
9.Baker
10Wynyard.

March 1st

Green
Knox
Vanderbilt
Washington
SKJ

PG - Green
SG - Knox
SF - Vanderbilt
PF - Bamba
C - Richards

I still think Diallo returns, bumping Knox to the SF. Gonna be a helluva ride!

Stupid time to bash Cal. He gave Gabriel all kinds of chances. SKJ may as well transfer

Lord with the Knox at sg. That's just laughable. This isn't NBA 2k. Can we be realistic

I don't see it either, but the kid himself said Cal was talking to him about playing SG. I think If we lose Diallo, Vanderbilt is basically a point forward who could guard SG's.

3 5's? Bamba Richards and Wynyard
2 4's Washington Jones
3 3/4's Knox Vanderbilt Gabriel
2 2's Diallo Baker
1 1/2 Alexander
1 1 Green

I think Cal juggles the line up some this year. Could be his new thing for these guys.

I have seen Alexander play 8 times in person and several more on television. I don't see how Cal keeps him out of the line up. He is an awesome player and much better than the recruiting services have given him credited for being. We will see. Lots to look look forward to this fall.

I'm not getting my hopes up but it would be real nice that said, no one expected us to land Knox and we lucked out there.

Not sure what's laughable about a SF playing the 2. Last I checked UNC just won a National Title with Theo Pinson at the 2 while he shot 21% from the 3pt line. Can Knox guard other 2s? Don't matter, Vanderbilt can on defense not to mention we'll have 2 shot blocking animals waiting at the rim for anyone entering the lane.

Green
Knox (if HD stays in draft)
Vanderbilt
Bamba
Richards
= a top 3 team in the country behind Maybe Zona & UNC. You might think that lineup is funny, but I promise our opponents won't be laughing. LONG LIVE CALIPARI!

When Alexander is playing PG we would prob have a bigger lineup than any NBA team lol.

I remember seeing numerous times in 2015 that we had the 2nd tallest team in all of basketball behind the San Antonio Spurs. There won't be very many layups scored vs UK next season.

If we have both Bamba and Richards (along with Tai and SKJ) we won't likely see it, but I would love to see how this positionless line up would fare.

Green
Diallo
Knox
Vanderbilt
Washington
