1. Towels is very inconsistent & that is going to make every games outcome questionable.
He usually has very good stats but stats don't win ball games all the time.
Each & every game you never know what you are going to get. Actually each quarter.
2. The Barker situation is very confusing & I hope he isn't thinking about moving on as
this would be a real problem. Don't know what this kid can do but how in the hell do we
find out if he can't get a series or two.
3. IMO Shannon Dawson has not shown much as an OC. The screens to the sides don't
work because by the time the ball gets there they are covered. People don't realize the
speed that the OL & LB have in the SEC. Watch Bama line up 2 backs, quick pass to one
of the RB's then pull the tackle, end, & other running back for a sweep. It is a thing of beauty.
Are we Bama? Hell no but I think we have enough talent to run a play like that.
4. The OL gets way to much blame for Towels problems. Pat IMO does not read defenses
very well, he does not step up in the pocket when he should, he gets outside of the box
& takes a sack instead of throwing the ball away.No gain is much better than lost yardage
5. Stoops is building depth & recruiting lots of talent which we have never had
before his arrival. I said year five will define if we are a pretender or contender.
At this point I think he has done a very very good job.
6. This program has not been as good of shape since the days of the "Bear"
7. Our ends & wide receivers have bailed Pat out a lot this year with great catches
on some poor throws.
8. Timmons would not be returning punts it would be King.
