Since we’ve all been watching the fight about Dr. J’s list, I thought we could start our own, since we all think we can do better 😁 Mine is as follows...

1st Team
pg- Magic Johnson
sg- Michael Jordan
sf- Lebron James
pf- Larry Bird
c- Wilt Chamberlain

2nd Team
pg- Isiah Thomas
sg- Jerry West
sf- Kevin Durant
pf- Tim Duncan
c- Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

And for the record, if I had to start a team, I would have picked Bill Russell over anybody but Kareem on my second team. But I tried to stay true to positions and I just couldn’t put him about Wilt or Kareem. I kinda agonized over Kobe or West on my second team but I think West gets kinda overlooked somewhat. The dude scored 28 per game for his career assists long range sniper before the 3-points shot existed.

I feel like most 1st teams will be pretty similar. The second teams are where it might get really interesting. Show me what you got!

As a biased Rockets fan, I have to include Hakeem in there. I think you can make the case for him over Timmy D.

Based on position needs and how special KD is, sure you take him. But I just can't take a list of "players you need to win the game".. and have KD in there over Kobe. You find a way to out Kobe in there.

Just my opinion.... YMMV

1st Team
pg Oscar Robertson
sg Michael Jordan
sf Julius Erving
pf Karl Malone
c Wilt Chamberlain

2nd Team
pg Magic Johnson
sg Darrell Griffith
sf Lebron James
pf Charles Barkley
c Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Would be a good time for another Draft with all this sh** talk going on

I'd love it. A good chunk of posters here would go with their politics in a contest that has zero to do with politics. and they would go home winless, picking players they don't like. To think someone would leave Lebron off their top10 lol.. Good luck. Hope Pistol Pete and Bill Laimbeer can fill in the gaps!

Id have the same teams except id go Curry-Kobe as my 2nd team guards.

PG Magic Johnson
SG Michael Jordan
SF Larry Bird
PF LeBron James
C Kareem

PG Chris Paul
SG Dwayne Wade
SF Elgin Baylor
PF Tim Duncan (even though he was really a center)
C Hakeem Olajuwon

Man, give me Shaq, Duncan, MJ, Kobe and LeHoe running Pg, I was gonna say Nash. Not necessarily all time team I’m talking here but would be a squad for anyone to take on.

I can't see Nash. There has to be someone better. Same with Stockton.

Chris Paul is looking more and more like one of the GOAT point guards. I thought he was done 3 years ago. He's not top10.. but dammit if I'm not throwing his name in to start a franchise..

FiRst team, PG Magic Johnson, SG Michael Jordan SF Kobe Bryant, PF Julious Erving, C Wilt Chamberlian

Second team, PG Oscar Robertson, SG Larry Bird, SF George Gervin, PF Bill Russel, C Kareem Jabar. For what it’s worth Lebron couldn’t hold either teams players jock, not tough enough.

It really is hard to pick out 10 guys, I left out Shaquille, Carl Malone, Jerry West, Rick Barry, Charles Barkley, Elvin Hayes, John Stockton, Dominique Wilkins, Dave Debucheur and Clyde Frazier just to name a few. Any of those 10 could easily be argued onto the list.

I wouldn’t pick any because the NBA blows

First 7 were easy, but not sure who I want to leave off with my other 3:

LeBron James
Michael Jordan
Kobe Bryant
Wilt Chamberlain
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Hakeem Olajuwon
Julius Erving

Just listing my top 10, man this was tough

1 - MJ
2 - Kareem
3 - Wilt
4&5 - Magic & Bird (They have to be listed together)
6 - Oscar
7 - Russell
8 - Duncan
9 - West
10 - Shaq or Kobe

Man it's hard not listing Malone, Isaiah, Barkley, LeBron, Hakeem, Dr J, or Steph on the list. Probably more I forgot

First team: Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Second team: Oscar Robertson, Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaq

Next two: Bill Russell and Tim Duncan

I'm surprised how often Karl Malone gets left off these lists. For me, he's the easiest pick for his position in the top 5. Dirk Nowitzki is often forgotten, he's the 6th leading scorer in NBA history.

First Team
Oscar Robertson
Michael Jordan
LeBron James
Karl Malone
Wilt Chamberlain

2nd team
Magic Johnson
Jerry west
Kobe Bryant
Dirk Nowitzki
Shaquille O'Neal

Wow, our first team picks only differ by you picking LeBron and me taking Dr J for small forward. Pretty close considering how many greats to choose from.

He's great, no question. My only defense is it's like trying to pick two all time starting five UK players. Just too many great players - limit it to 10, especially if you try to fill all five positions, you're going to leave out players others think are no-brainers.

I almost went with those exact ones too. Steph vs Isiah was tough because they’re kinda opposite style players.

Cheating a bit with Hakeem but he did play the 4 some when they had him and Sampson.

Oscar Robertson, Wilt, and Russell were the toughest cuts
