Number 10 its not over this year yet gotta stay positiveI dont think some holy cross guy is gonna be the guy who leads us to number 9 so I'd pass then. He isnt the man here.

Not!He’s better than the three freshman we have now and has more upside. He was a late bloomer growing and can be a Gordon Hayward type.
If he’s better than them, why wasn’t he rated higher….than any of them…..by anyone? If he’s that good, why is he at Holy Cross? He was 6’5 as a sophomore - and a hold back at that - and essentially the same player as a sophomore as he was his senior year. He shot more, so he scored more, but his game didn’t change. He is better than two of them and probably Chandler as well.
Late bloomer as in grew late. He already had the skill. Some kids gets tall after the recruiting radar.
Look at Thiero. Who was a nobody coming out of HS.
Are you from Kentucky? Did you grow up dreaming of playing for UK? I did. So did Perry and Noah. They understand how it works. So perry and Noah are gonna just accept not playing at all next season? Delusional.
The only guys willing to be the 13th-15th guys will likely be Kentucky boys.I want the best available players on the roster, it doesn’t matter where they are from. It’s not 1950, we can’t have 13 Ky boys on the roster! If they are Kentucky worthy fine, but don’t need guys just taking up space that can’t play at this level! We definitely need to get more athletic!
He wasn’t 6 5 as a sophomore. He was 6 2 going into his senior year. I don’t care what you think you read.If he’s better than them, why wasn’t he rated higher….than any of them…..by anyone? I want him on the squad. Pope had one year to get backups and we were scraping the bottom of the barrel using them for much of the year.Matt Jones just stated to keep our eyes on this kid. Which, to me, basically says he will be a Wildcat.
We don’t need a bench warmer at his position. If we are going for 6’-5” to 6’-6” guard/forward types, we are way better served getting either Dix or Eaglestaff. Now, if Noah, Perry or Chandler leave, he would be a good replacement. However we need guys who can start or play very significant minutes at that position we just have too many already on the roster or HS kids.He wasn’t 6 5 as a sophomore. He was 6 2 going into his senior year. I don’t care what you think you read.
Go ahead and hate. He’s better than the freshman we have now and I like all of them too. He’d be a good piece.
He’s better than them. You’ll see.We don’t need a bench warmer at his position. If we are going for 6’-5” to 6’-6” guard/forward types, we are way better served getting either Dix or Eaglestaff. Now, if Noah, Perry or Chandler leave, he would be a good replacement. We need to get multiple PF’s, a starting PG and C. If there are rides available once that is done and we get a starter level SF maybe we can take the kid. He is not currently better than Chandler or Noah. He may be better than Perry, but they play a different positions.
Exactly, we need to fill the 13-15 spots with multi year Kentucky boys. Rupp always prioritized the Kentucky boys if they could play. I hope Pope does the same. The only guys willing to be the 13th-15th guys will likely be Kentucky boys.
He doesn’t play defense and he needs strength. He would be a non factor next year, unless we have multiple injuries again. He’s better than them. You’ll see.
You all bashed me for liking literally SGA after seeing him play in HS and thought he was a “spot minute” guy.
He probably won’t end up here though.
We actually need all of the above. We don’t need a bench warmer at his position. If we are going for 6’-5” to 6’-6” guard/forward types, we are way better served getting either Dix or Eaglestaff. Now, if Noah, Perry or Chandler leave, he would be a good replacement. 6’2. Funny. I’ve known Max Green since he was in the 6th grade. Go on, say what you wish.He wasn’t 6 5 as a sophomore. He was 6 2 going into his senior year. I don’t care what you think you read.
Go ahead and hate. He’s better than the freshman we have now and I like all of them too. He’d be a good piece.
In that case Pope should be recruiting most of this boardThe measurement I am concerned with is the size of his heart and whether it bleeds Kentucky blue.
40 on Alabama. Oweh, as much as I love him, could not do anything like that. The idea of not wanting Max Green but coveting Eaglestaff is preposterous.
I want to know if either one is capable of playing defense in the SEC. Smith, Dix, and all the other guys mentioned seem to have better potential on defense. The idea of not wanting Max Green but coveting Eaglestaff is preposterous.
ThisWith 15 scholarships, he’s a no brainer.
I think Dix is probably the better overall player. My comment was simply related to the comment of preferring Green over Eaglestaff.I want to know if either one is capable of playing defense in the SEC. Smith, Dix, and all the other guys mentioned seem to have better potential on defense.
I like Dix. I mean, I want Dix. I mean.........never mind.I think Dix is probably the better overall player. My comment was simply related to the comment of preferring Green over Eaglestaff.
Did Ryan agree with Matt ?Matt Jones just stated to keep our eyes on this kid. Which, to me, basically says he will be a Wildcat.
When he misses, which is about 75% of the time. It sounds like he is shooting a 45 pound cement block.Nah
I'll watch Perry clang open 3s
Be great to get bothWe actually need all of the above.
Need Dix or Eaglestaff to be immediate contributors and a guy like Green as a long term investment.
I want to make it clear, that I don’t hate the idea of Green coming aboard, especially if he really is 6’8”. I just don’t think he should be the priority. He likely would be a good player after a year of weight training. But the idea he is already better than Chandler is only looking at a Ky kid who had a great game against a HS all star team and then went to a way less challenging conference/team and had a good freshman season. Comparing in that distinctly different environment vs the SEC is a crap shoot at best. From what I have seen, he would be challenged in staying in front of SEC guards similarly to Noah or Perry.
Funny they didn’t really show that ability against the low-mid major non conference opponents. All 3 of our freshmen would have dominated n the peewee patriot league.
I'm sorry, but no one with their talent is going to be willing to be at the end of the bench, regardless of their childhood dream. Are you from Kentucky? Did you grow up dreaming of playing for UK? I did. So did Perry and Noah. They understand how it works.
Max’s grandfather, Steve Green, played football at UK. He was an outstanding athlete out of DeSales high school.Matt Jones just stated to keep our eyes on this kid. Which, to me, basically says he will be a Wildcat.
They barely played until the injuries.Funny they didn’t really show that ability against the low-mid major non conference opponents.
