I don’t know. 17-19 in his last three years at UCLA before getting fired.I wouldn’t mind giving Jim Mora a call. He took over an absolutely horrid UConn program and got them bowl eligible including upsetting #19 Liberty.

He's not going to be a NFL head coach in the foreseeable future -- UK is exactly something that would help him...Coen’s not coming back. He wants to be an NFL coach. The pathway to that is not Kentucky.
Start with someone who has an offensive back ground who puts scoring at the top of his list because if you'll watch around the country those scoring north of 30/35 ppg are winning 90% of the games. Easy to research if you care to. No more DCs who have an offensive philosophy like CMS.⁷Who are our candidates if Stoops does leave?
No thanks ...this philosophy won't win in the SEC. Must score points! For the Hell of it, just checked Sumrall’s record: 8-2, with a 28-10 loss on the road at Ole Miss, and at Appy State on a Hail Mary.
Warning: his team grinds out close victories relying on a strong defense. 8 wins by an average of about 7 points.
Still, pretty impressive.
Wonder what White's offensive philosophy is or would be?Haven't done a lot of research or given thought to it because I see no way Stoops leaves. He's overpaid and has one of the best jobs in football. No better job is going to outbid us so here we are.
With that said, we would need a clean break from the Stoops tree. Look for someone more offensive-minded who plays an aggressive style the kids want to be a part of. Surround him with some recruiters and NIL and let him work.
Unless they were just pissed, no HC from a parallel/better job would be serious. Freeze would be great but no way Barney would look that way; doubt the SEC would let him regardless.
Prediction, Barney will do the opposite and probably promote White like he did with Joker.
I use to opine for Brown because of his offenses at TT, but I don't know what's happened there. His time at UK did have some conflict.John Sumrall, Brad White, Neil Brown and Jason Candle.
Candle is Toledo coach with high scoring offense and great recruiting for a MAC school.I use to opine for Brown because of his offenses at TT, but I don't know what's happened there. His time at UK did have some conflict.
Sumrall seems to be a MS clone.
Like White, but have no idea what his philosophy of offense is.
Have no idea who who Candle is
Thought this was NB...
Did you read the word "probably"?Lol you seriously saying they'd have fired Saban if he lost last night?? I've read some dumb stuff in here , but that's up there. No freaking way dude. Think he has some credit in the bank. You can't possibly believe what you typed there lol
I'm beyond pissed about yesterday, but still don't know if ditching Stoops is our best play. It does feel like recruiting is struggling and so is the product in the field however. Definitely the most contentious time for the program in many moons. So do you cap the guy who raised our expectations in the first place?? Tough call
Good start to his career, but needs a larger body of work before we annoint him. Remember Neal Brown had a pretty good run at Troy too. Anybody still wanting Brown as our coach? For the Hell of it, just checked Sumrall’s record: 8-2, with a 28-10 loss on the road at Ole Miss, and at Appy State on a Hail Mary.
Warning: his team grinds out close victories relying on a strong defense. 8 wins by an average of about 7 points.

Marrow will go wherever Stoops goes. That's pretty much a certainty, Unless somebody takes a chance on him as a head coach. If Stoops is gone, does Marrow stay ??

He'd definitely put his best foot forward. Or at least he'd jump in with both feet. He's truly a FOOTball man... See where I'm going with this?Rex Ryan

Curious as to why you aren't a big Stoops fan?Mitch would pick the most boring coach he could find who would go to his church.
Im not a huge Stoops fan, but I hope the next AD gets to pick our football coach.
I could understand no one wanting the job when Stoops got here. Our facilities and support were among the worst in all of D-1. Through upgrades, Stoops has made the job much more attractive to any prospective coach, including a blueprint on how to recruit at UK. As for Papa Brooks, he was still tweeting about the game on Saturday and talking like he's still a part of the program. #GoBigBlueWell I don't think anyone else wanted the job when he got here since I'm not sure we had ONE four star on the squad and I think our AD hadn't done ONE improvement to football facilities in the DECADE he was here, so I guess we will do our normal and hire anyone that volunteers, or maybe promote someone on the staff.
Then maybe we could get Brooks to help find a new coach. But I would guess he has had enough of this rinky dink operation.

Stoops couldn’t fire up a grill.I also posted this on the "Stoops is the best coach for Kentucky" thread when someone asked, Who might we get if Stoops leaves?
I like Mike Houston at ECU (100-48 overall as HC at four schools).
Tremendous team improvement track record by the second year at historically challenged Lenoir Rhyne (conference championships/playoffs) and The Citadel (conference championship in year 2, playoffs, beat SoCar w/FCS team).
Won a FCS National Championship at James Madison University in year one, made the playoffs all three years at JMU, and won the CAA conference two out of three years.
It has taken him a little longer at ECU than his previous schools, but he has ECU bowl eligible (two years running in year-4). On offense: Has morphed from Triple option guru at LR and Citadel to RPO/spread at JMU and ECU. All his teams have a snoot full of attitude on defense. He develops a notoriously tough edge with his teams and can motivate like a monster (decidedly smaller SoCon Citadel absolutely out-hit South Carolina in 2015 winning that game 23-22).....Pre-game fire-the-team-up speech is linked.
