I feel he can still play a role next season with the Cats if he improves his game during the offseason. Don't sleep on him.

He's gotta work hard or enjoy the sidelines because he is no where near the level you have to be to play here. YET

Not saying he won't but what would make you feel he could? His ranking out of high school? I really hope you are correct.

Just depends if we get bamba and bam comes back. If both those situations happen, he will get zero clock. If we lose out on both then he plays. Silver lining if you want

Can he and Gabriel both be as good as someone like Derek Willis was as a Junior? That's probably what UK needs, 8-10 PPG and adequate rebounding from both.

FIXED..........................Makes more sense now.........

I think I pointed this out before - was surprised at how young SKJ is, I think for example he's about 19 months younger than Gabriel. I may have just made that up, but it's a good fact. If I'm remembering right, that might be relevant, might be a reason to think it may be too early to draw any conclusions about him just yet.....

Looks like you had an epiphany Smooth!

If he can improve his game in the off season, he can still play a role here?

I hope so, but I just felt this was a strange situation all year long. Why could he not come in the game when Brad did? That leaves me wondering if he will ever get in the game.

If SKJ improves this offseason, he'll be an improved player.

Holy f**k, who would've thought Nostradamus is a UK fan?

He needs to get stronger. He has a good looking jumper and looks to have some good moves in the post. He also needs to improve his overall basketball iq. I think most of his shortcomings were between the ears and effort. Cal put him in against North Carolina (reg season game) he didn't get back on D and his man got a layup. Out comes SKJ.

If he's suffering from tendinitis then he needs to spend all summer working on strength and conditioning. We saw from little run he got that his stroke looks good and he has great size. Get those patellar tendons rehabbed and I think he'll contribute.

I never saw enough of him what few games he played in to make any kind of judgment on him. Evidently he must have performed terribly in practice to barely even play in blowout games.

I liked what I saw from SKJ in Nov-Dec. Seems like a more skilled version of Lee. But it might be a numbers game for him next year as to whether he plays much. You've not only got to play/practice well, but you also have to be one of the best 8 (maybe 9) on the team, or for him one of the top 4 to play the 4/5 positions.

All I know is he did not look happy at all.
Did he not. I was wondering were you at the games? Cause he really didn't show signs of not being content when they showed the sidelines in the tourney. But that was situational and I know he was quoted right after he signed and we were going after Bolden that he was fine with taking a backseat cause he knew he wasn't ready. I actually wish he would take a redshirt this year but I know that isn't Cal's way

I am hoping for a WCS development. Would be awesome if he could follow that same path. I truly don't see any reason he can't. Coming in, I feel he had more basketball IQ but damn he looked lost out there sometimes. Disrupt people driving and be a lock down defender on defense and be able to catch the lob and hit the 8-10 footer. Would be wonderful!!!

Unless you have access to practice everyday, no one can predict what SKJ will be like next season.

All I know is that at UK's combine several scouts including Rex thought this kid was our best prospect. I don't know what the hell happened in December, but the bottom line is this kid could be huge for us next year.
