Scangarello hire has been an epic disaster. Did Stoops even scout the guy? He sucked in the NFL
We need to fire this OC so we can complain about the next OC when our offense has looked the same way it has for 10 years.
We had a top 25 offense last year .
Are you sure? I looked briefly and thought we were in the 40’s in total offense and 30’s in points. Either way, 1 good offense out of 10 years is an indictment on Stoops.
It literally makes no sense to fire Stoops.if that is what you are suggesting.

I will definitely agree that Stoops is weak on offense. He needs a very good offensive coordinator. And ours is pitiful.
I'm not saying he is good, but Steve Spurrier couldn't call plays for this offense with how bad the O line is.

I don’t think it matters. Stoops will have to significantly change his mindset regarding offense. If he wont, UK is at its peak. Decent seasons with an occasional strong year. That is not going to fill the NIL bucket though.
Our offense didn’t have a 3rd down conversation the entire 2nd half ! And we failed on 2 two point conversions !
I just hope he leaves for a job elsewhere. 5 or 6 OCs in his time here. Same issues almost every year on offense. Same common denominator.
It’s horrible. But I would bet every single one of them were ranked higher than every single Vandy defensive linemen. It HAS to be more than just talent.
You ever wonder why, except for one year, he cant get one? Or why they struggle at UK?

Meanwhile Tennessee’s backup comes in and the offense keeps tearing it up against Missouri. I don’t think it matters what OC Stoops has because he wants to play ball control win primarily with defense by grinding it out.

I will take what we have now. Disappointing year but I don't ever see UK taking the next step consistently...whether with Stoops or not.
Unreasonable? It's unreasonable not to look at Stoops as the "larger" problem here. Who hired the coordinators. Who put this staff together? These coaches are "who they are", either competent or not. If they're not competent, you replace them. The players deserve better. If Stoops proves himself to be incompetent after 10 years, you have to look at that too. No one in their right mind could look at this football program right now and feel good about "where" we are. Not if they're truthful.
I will pick our OC up in a prepaid UHAUL and drive the damn truck to where ever he decides to go.

We lost at home to the worst 2 teams in the league. With a potential number 1 pick.. or vest ever running back...very talented skill players and a talented defense
Its not unreasonable at all when you really havnt done anything besides beat down teams for a few above average seasons.
So don’t try? NIL money isn’t going to roll in with a coach that supposedly has a 1st round QB and loses to USCjr and Vandy. Without the NIL, it will get significantly worse.
I can’t argue much . It’s just that it’s ridiculous to even mention firing Stoops. From where we were when he took over to the string of bowl games we’re on , to becoming our all time winning coach , can you the backlash from the football world we’d get ? Now if he were to just move on to somewhere else…….I wouldn’t be upset .
We were ranked something like #36 last year which was easily the best of the Stoops era. This guy had like the fourth worst offense in the NFL when he was at Denver and will end up with the 2nd worst in the SEC after this year at UK.
Not saying don't try. What folks don't get is it took 5-7 years to get program to what it is. It will take at least that long to get to next level.
I didn't say not to try, I said I don't think we will ever get there. I also think firing Stoops would be a grave mistake for the program.

Won't make any difference. This is what Stoops wants. He has literally said it on multiple occasions yet nobody seems to believe him.
So you have given up. That’s a shame. We could do much better with a new staff.

I disagree but that’s ok. Stoops has been here 10 seasons. Just as you don’t want others to forget what Stoops started with, we also cannot ignore other factors. With the 12 game schedule, he has 3 wins baked in. And thanks to the UL dumpster fire often one more. Then he typically has had Vandy and USCjr. He has had two ten win seasons and an 8 win season, with the others being basically .500 seasons. Never more than 5 SEC wins with a favorable SECW schedule generally. If he were trending consistently up it would be different but this team is staring at another approximate .500 year with what appears to be a very mediocre incoming recruiting class.
I would hope UK believes it can be better.
