SIU-Edwardsville v. Kentucky

Rallying late may work against NKU, Middle Tenn., and SIUE, but cannot rely on late game comebacks against the LSU's, Florida's and Ole Misses of the SEC.
We continue to play like this, and we may not win 8 league games all season.

LSU will have several really good arms out of the bullpen. UK better jump on the starters. As I mentioned in my review thread, LSU has no lefties at all, so that is an advantage for our lefty heavy lineup, and may be a tiny advantage for our pitchers because their hitters won't be as accustomed to hitting lefty pitching.

Why about wku today?

I am not sure what you're asking me. I was meaning that LSU didn't have any of their pitchers throw more than 3 innings today, so they could use all of them this weekend. I just mention this because LSU is struggling to figure out who their 3 weekend starters will be and the guy that started for them last night, Marceaux had previously started on the weekends. So, I am just trying to keep an eye on who they start in these two games and how long they pitch so we have an idea of who might start for them this weekend.

As far as I can tell, Western is a pretty poor baseball team. They are 6-8 with an RPI of 260. They really haven't played anyone that great other than Tennessee and they lost a shortened game. They seem to struggle to score runs, and have failed to score more than 4 runs in about half of their games. They hit .274 as a team, but their team ERA is 6.02.

I honestly have no idea who will start for WKU. They first threw a freshman named Hunter Crosby during the midweek, but he seems to have moved to the weekend as he pitched against Memphis on Saturday. In fact, only one of the guys that started for them against Memphis also started the weekend prior. So it could be Newell (8.18 ERA lefty), Crawford (6.00 ERA righty), Calvert (5.73 ERA righty), or Sutton (7.71 righty).
