Sit Leary. This bad experiment needs to end.

I’d rather watch Lynn Bowden carry the ball 60 times a game than this. Or the pound Benny Snell days.

Personally I didn’t want to shift away from the true Big Blue Wall ground and pound days and if you want to go a little more spread then I think the offensive fit is a spread RPO targeting durable dual threat QBs that are run oriented. Stoops can be power run oriented and passing plays are off Read option action flowing in a direction to get the D moving and taking advantage of DBs getting caught creeping up

At least we had an identity then…an identity that we are still living off of even tho it doesn’t really exist anymore.

And I think Coen is a great OC which reflects in the Redzone efficiency in his year one, followed by dropping tk bottom of the league under Scang, and now back tk top of the SEC in Coens year 2…. But I don’t think we should be running a pro system without pros at every position. Give me a college system that is easier to recruit to…idk if we never have a star NFL WB come through here as long as they are college stars

Key and Brown will transfer.
Where are they going?

To play for a coach that can hold them accountable for drops?
Or a coach that holds them accountable for running mediocre routes?
Or a coach that holds them accountable for talking trash?
And in Brown's case, not going full speed on go routes and shoving opponents after the whistle???

I feel like benching Leary just kills UK from ever having a chance at a decent portal QB again. No one will want to transfer to a place where they'll get canned mid season.

Throwing for 120 yards a game in this offense will kill portal recruiting more than benching Leary. That and snapping it less times than anyone else in the country. It makes for limited opportunities for everyone on the team.

It’s the offense as much as it is Leary.
If I heard right we are dead last in the country in the number of snaps? If so, what is the problem of getting the play in quickly and getting back to the line quickly? I don't think Leary is as bad as some think. I think if you speed up the offense and get him in a rythem he would be a better QB. You can see the frustration with the dropped passes and all the pressure he is getting from an inept OL. No QB is 100% perfect. Give the support he needs from speeding up the play calls, the WR's and the OL then let us see how he does. All three of those entities are factors so let us put the pressure on all those things getting better first. Sheron would have to face all three of those things that he wouldn't have any control over so I don't see an inexperienced QB to boot, making those things better.

Yes, plenty of blame to go around. As for Leary, I'm awake and have been all through his miserable season. I wish I slept through it.
Nobody is stopping you.

I am not a defender of Leary, but false narratives don't belong here. Leary hasn't had the season everyone expected, but hyping new players only to throw them under the bus later is an all too common behavior here. Leary got sacked 4 times and hurried many more times yesterday. Several catchable passes were dropped. I lost track of all the holding penalties and blown blocking assignments. This loss was on our OL.

This was an ALL system failure. This took the whole team effort. Something is off with this team. I am not quite sure so I will not speculate. Leary is in a system that is not suited for his strength's. The extremely slow play is a problem period! But the overall problem is Coaching of this team. No matter how much I like Coach Stoops and love what he has done, this year and most of last year was to blunt awful. Penalties, penalties upon penalties, time after time again. The whole football operation appears off to me. The Buck stops at the head man. I like Coach Stoops and I hope he gets it corrected.

I never hyped Leary. I also realize your football knowledge is 1000x mine, I'm simply reacting to what I see. Yes, the receivers haven't helped him either. Something is just off. Perhaps its as simple as timing.

I hope we get back to growing players into their roles within the program. We've fallen in love with the portal but she's a fickle beast.

We lost that game because we gave up 38 points in 3 quarters. We lost that game because Missouri packed the box and stopped Ray Davis. We lost that game because guys dropped passes that were in their hands. We lost this game because we had over 120 yards in penalties and most of them were stupid penalties.

We didn't lose this game because of Leary. Other games yes but this one wasn't on him.
