SIAP: Worst Bad Beat For Gamblers Of 2024-25 Season?

Had a 7 leg parlay a couple weeks back, hit the first 5 then the 6th. Had the Michigan Indiana game left. I had Michigan -3.5 and they were up 16 18 and cruising early but in the 2nd half Indiana makes a comeback. So very late in the game Michigan gets up 6 with 2.5 seconds left. I’m feeling great going to win about 500. Indiana inbounds the ball and the kid throws in a 3/4 court shot at the buzzer to lose by 3. Unbelievable!!!!

That’s the one

The game that made me quit I actually won. UNLV was a juggernaut giving like 18 to one of those teams out there. They're up 40 well into the second half when Tarkanian puts in his scrubs. I kid you not they are so bad they are dribbling the ball off their leg out of bounds. Like Ollie in Hoosiers. With less than a minute to go the other team cuts it to 17. Tarkanian put a couple starters back in and UNLV makes a layup at the end to cover by one.

I figured out them and there that betting on these games is insane. There's no control. You're at the mercy of whatever coach you've invested in. Then I asked myself why Tarkanian put his starters back in. Was it to avoid getting his legs broken? How was he that aware of the spread?

Not only that you are at the mercy of how a ref decides to control games. I’ve seen so many times teams In control and a ref starts calling every ticky tac foul he can on the winning team and nothing against the losing team.

7 leg parlay, lol. Like going down to 7/11 and getting a lottery ticket.

You'll get frustrated if you think you can outsmart the spread. I look at it as a random event....game of chance for amusement only. For every bad beat, there's a big win. Sometimes you're on the good side of the bad beat, unless you're a total schleprock.
