He should do that more often on the road...lol That is a dominate win at South Carolina, didn't see that coming. Especially how bad the refs were trying to foul our guys out.

ESPN announcers covering Oklahoma-Kansas just said on the air that Frank Martin is filing a protest with the FCC. Said that if Calipari didn't have to watch the Kentucky-South Carolina game, Martin should not have been forced to watch it either. Hilarious.

Channeled his inner Frank Martin [laughing]

I mean seriously. Coach K,Bill Self, etc do that every game and they don't get tossed. It's becoming a Joke anymore......

Shannon said he said some encouraging stuff to them but the coaches addressed the team. Hopefully he's allowed to do that. Can't imagine he wouldn't know the rule though.

I do know in baseball the ejected manager cannot be in the dugout or on the field...in fact one of the many slang terms for an ejection is "sent to the clubhouse". I guess the same deal applies in basketball?

Yeah, I know it was 2:20 into the game, but could he have done it to get the team pumped up? I know his mentor Larry brown once did it to for cal for coaching, could cal have done it for Kenny Payne? I know it's the regular season but we need this team rolling if we want to do some damage in March. Is it possible cal went over the top with emotion today, to get his guys going today?

Did he get tossed on purpose? No way.

I do think he had a good point. Our post guys are skinny, we get pushed around a lot. When we have position and get pushed from behind, that needs to be called.

I don't know if he got tossed on purpose but I think his first T was to send a message to Sirmons and Shey that he was tired of their bs calls and what he believes is a bias against him by those 2. With the calls we have gotten from them I don't blame him.

Way, way, way too controlling to let his assistants run the game. No way. Hope he figures out he can let go a little. Haven't seen the team this loose in a while.

Team was plenty loose against UGA and FL the two games before.

I guess I just found it odd to see cal lose it so quickly today. He's not like bobby knight where he flies off the handle 24/7

What was he screaming as they were pushing him away? It looked like "Why did you do that?" And then a few mother fu$&ers thrown in for good measure haha.

On purpose? No.

That ejection was very un-Cal like. He normally doesn't wear his feelings on his sleeve or carry a chip on his shoulder. Long story short, CAL WAS PISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSED. More that I've ever seen him get.

I don't know if that ref said anything to him at the table or what. Just very uncharacteristic.

Yes without a doubt. Cal has more self control than what he displayed. He's trying to shake things up and take notice of the crap officiating. There is no doubt he entered the game prepared to get tossed.

that makes sense, actually - it's not that he did it on purpose, exactly, but as you said, he was going to make people take notice - and was prepared

It crossed my mind and maybe if it was a home game, I'd say yes. It beiing a road game, no I don't think he did it on purpose. But it did make him look like a genious just the same.

idk but ulis had maybe his best game ever and our guys trust his leadership. it showed more with cal being away briefly. this can only be a good sign.

Cal is very clever and it wouldn't surprise me if he planned to go hard on those terrible calls knowing he may get tossed
