Should Levis consider coming back?

He should come back, he’s not a first rounder. Clay Travis said on Twitter he has no idea how he’s a first rounder (I know I know, Travis is a EwTee guy, but still a sports guy). I agree with him.

Come back, play behind a line that will surely be much improved with a year starting under their belt, a full month of practicing under their belt leading up to the bowl game (hopefully), a more mature and ready to roll redshirt Goodwin, and talented receivers that are a year older and that much better.

Come back to improve accuracy, footwork, command of the pro-style offense. Come back to do all that, and also cash in on your star-power for NIL deals. Have a big year (statistically) and go top 10. He will not go first round this year. Freaking crazy talk.
If they fire Scangarello that’s the only way I see Levi’s coming back and then it may take rehiring coen who could get demoted by the rams. The odds of all that happening is like 1%or much less.

Heck no he shouldn’t come back. If you can go in the first round, you go . One bad hit on that throwing shoulder and he goes from signing a million dollar contract to having to pursue a different vocation .

How is he going in the first round? I’m confused. I thought 1st round draft pick QB’s could like throw the ball accurately, make pre-snap reads, move up in the pocket, get rid of it under pressure, throw it away when nothing is open, etc. Which one of those does he do? None that I can see.

He’s big, strong, and can throw it far. Those are his intangibles. That’s it. Convince me I’m wrong.

He had roughly 95 yards passing against the 130th ranked passing defense in the country, and 3 interceptions! If he’s a first rounder, I’m Santa Claus

Heck man , I’m just going by what draft projection people are saying. I don’t even try to speculate on where players should be drafted.

It’s his arm strength dude . It’s special. That is what they are drafting. They are willing to take a chance on developing it into a quarterback.
In my opinion he is a poor mans version of Brett Favre. He has a cannon for an arm but makes bad decisions, forces passes and has a tendency to throw the ball so hard most guys will have a hard time catching his passes.

I agree but in the NFL's eyes the items you mentioned are very fixable. I highly doubt he drops out of the Top 10 let alone into the second round. I kind of hope he drops enough to let the Packers get a shot at him, he is a good QB coach and offensive line away from being very, very good in the pro's.

I hope you are right. It is good for the program for our QB1 to be an elite NFL QB.

Maybe. He has a lot of work to do on the mental aspects of the game . Maybe he will get it , but it’s not a given even with a good coach and line .

Given the uncertainty in our QB situation next year, I’d definitely take him back, but it seems extremely unlikely unless his draft stock has tanked behind closed doors much more than it has with publicly published analysts. He definitely still has lots of room for improvement, but if he’s more or less a lock to be a first round pick, there’s really no rational incentive for him not to take the money while it’s there and work on his game as a pro.

Who do I trust, you or Mel Kiper and Payton Manning?

Ok so who are you a retread of? Who got banned yesterday because this is their new account.

He’s not first round material right now. Been a lot of guys big, strong, big arm, not make it. He’s mediocre at best.
Would you come back if you knew you were going to get sacked 50 times. Next year’s OL isn’t goi g to be any better without more talent

If he has the same OC/OL coach?....No way...he will never survive another year with the same OL scheme.

Shoot-He may not complete this season with as many times as he is getting sacked and hit in the backfield.

I say this because we do not appear to have improved on OL even though we're 8 games into the season.

Take your chances in the draft Will.

GBB!

Mel Kiper had him as the #1 pick in the draft, so yeah he’s really reliable 🙄.

I am a retread of me, Cut-Nets. I just create free accounts over and over again to come on here and serve up guys like you. Easy work. Now feed me some more so I can serve you up more.

An admitted troll.

Another pic, with time and clean pocket. Come on, this is too easy an argument. Kid is not a first rounder, on any planet.
Wait a minute.

Isn't the gravity on Mars a lot less than earths, couldn't he throw it a mile on Mars? And there are a lot of planets out there, he can work on his decision making and accuracy later. Whatever, hope he throws better this year, we need the three wins we should get.

if he comes back for Kentucky it will not make him a Top 10 NFL Draft Pick … no NFL Team is going to take a 25 year old QB in the Top 10 … he will be entering Brandon Weeden territory in regards to age. Age is going to push down the Tennessee Volunteer QB as well. At best Hooker is a late 1st Rounder because he will be a 25 year old NFL Rookie QB next year.

Bringing up Clay Travis pretty much ruins your arguement.

Call me crazy, don’t first round draft picks actually like “make plays”? Aren’t they like accurate with their throws when they have time? Don’t they get rid of the ball? If not, what are the pre-requisites for being a First round QB?
Who spends time digging up old threads while the game is on?

Plenty of NFL QB's go from great to average with a bad Oline. We have witnessed the same thing this year in Levis. That along with no adaptation with the play calling to help offset our weaknesses.
