Should Flagg go what superlative UK player hurt most leaving without a title?

Mashburn would be at the top of my list, but a close second would be P. Pat, Tayshawn, and Chuck Hayes. All of those dude stayed for more than one year and absolutely bled blue.

He made a final 4 and had a huge game in the loss. He scored almost half his teams points they lost because noo e else really showed up especially last 8 min .

I try not take pleasure in others misfortune but seeing that happening to Duke it was difficult containing happiness.

Also did everyone here know that he was only 17 when season started ...... just checking

It's a long list. Just in the past 15 years.

Fox, Monk and Bam team due to cheating officials.

2014 and 2015 teams due to injuries and cheating officials.

2010 due to bad cal coaching. 2011 due to poor officiating and awful knight shooting.

Why would anyone actually think there was more than a 0% chance of Flagg returning?
I'm with you on this. If Reed Sheppard wouldn't return, considering both his parents played at Kentucky, he was from Kentucky and supposedly a Kentucky fan, then I can't see how someone like Flagg could return to Duke.

I think the only difference is Reed knew he was also benefiting from a weak draft .

If Flagg came back there is still a good chance he would go number 1. Although Dybantsa and Peterson could definitely challenge him .

But yeah He’s most likely gone .

Bottom line, it ain’t easy winning a championship.

It sure isn't. The only team that seems to think it is easy is UConn. They are a ridiculous 6/7 in FF. Have only been in 37 tournaments and have same titles as UNC, 1 more than Duke, 2 more than Kansas and just 2 fewer titles than us.

Nearly all of their damage has been done in less than 30 years. That is crazy!

A ton if em.
Nobody has mentioned Dan Issel.

When you've had 8 nattys in the history of the school, a Lotta great college UK players never reached the Golden ring.

I always loved Tayshawn Prince. I think was the 2001-2002 season when he blasted UNC in their house. That team was good and TP was a very consistent piece. One of the few California guys to do really well at UK.
He did win a championship with the Pistons though!!

This was my answer too. It cut me deep watching Tayshaun go without so much as a final four to show for it.

I can remember as far back as Bowie, so I agree with a lot of the players people have picked. But personally I'd go with Karl Anthony Towns, just because of what an undefeated season would have meant.

Chuck Hayes tops the list for me followed by great Cats like Mashburn, Prince, Walker, Ulis, and Oscar. I identify better with the multi-year players.

I don't have the same level of sympathy for our OAD alumni, although I certainly was disappointed to see leave-it-all-on-the-court guys like Wall and Fox depart without a title.

GBB!
