Either you can’t read or quoted the wrong post . Please quote where I said he cost us the game .Yea none of ya post is about Cal just how this player did what that cost us the game. How about call a fn timeout when you need a crucial bucket instead of waiting till the last min.
That's my thought as well. Surely the players UNDERSTAND that at least part of what happened tonight was because of poor coaching? If I was Orlando, Welch and the others I'd look for work elsewhere, land something and then go public about what Calipari is really like. They're going to be looking anyway if a new coach is brought in, usually that's how it happens I think.I can’t imagine coming back and playing for Cal again. Maybe if there is a change, and a new coach comes in.
They should all come back for redemption but that doesn’t even seem possible with Cal at the helm.
No doubt he played like someone I didn't even recognize ... frustrating to be sure.Cal had nothing to do with the way Reed played even his passes were bad
Well this is not how the draft works, so he will still declare. You don't need multiple years to get "seasoned". If you're a lottery pick you go and work on your game while getting paid multiple millions of dollars a year. There is zero that Reed would learn as a sophomore that he couldn't learn in the NBA when basketball is his full time job.considering his total collapse on the biggest stage, it's hard to imagine he declares for the draft. He needs multiple years to get seasoned.
... if he goes to the league and wilts under the bright lights, unprepared, is that the best decision? Chasing only the quick money isn't always the best decision, IMO. Reed could have a long career but he needs to manage his development carefully to max his second contract options. Nice problem to have, I suppose.Well this is not how the draft works, so he will still declare. You don't need multiple years to get "seasoned". That’s not true .His parents have been hosting agents all year down in London. I’d say there is a good chance he is gone, unless he has a huge change of heart.
Ok buddy whatever. Where do you live? I live in London and know the place and venue. Even the food on the menu. It’s 1000000% true. That’s not true .
I know Jeff personally and talked to him just a couple of weeks ago.Ok buddy whatever. Where do you live? I live in London and know the place and venue. Even the food on the menu. It’s 1000000% true.
Ok, I know Jeff personally and see Stacy every week. I also know Chuck Hayes who has been serving as his advisor through all this. You don’t know much do you. Ask Jeff about the Filet at “The Kichen by Brandon” in London and ask him how many meeting he has hosted there. At least 3 is the answer.I know Jeff personally and talked to him just a couple of weeks ago.
This is BSHe 100% leaves. But he also likely gets an NBA GM fired if he’s taken in the top 5.
Not ready at all for big boy basketball
Jeff has private offices in Lexington and Harrodsburg. If he were going to meet with “agents” , I highly doubt he would have them come to London. Now …. I do know that they have someone that represents Reed for NIL contracts. Maybe that is who they have been meeting with.Ok, I know Jeff personally and see Stacy every week. Nope, he wanted to keep it quiet. The perfect place is London. And some was NIL for sure but it was also with NBA contacts and potential agents courting their services. Have I been at the dinners, no. But I’m in the medical field and I’m related to the owner of the restaurant. It’s not a big secret down here.Jeff has private offices in Lexington and Harrodsburg. Well , I never call someone a liar unless I have absolute proof. Maybe Jeff just lied to my face , but I don’t believe he would ever do that . So, I guess we’ll find out in the end . Peace man .Nope, he wanted to keep it quiet. The perfect place is London. And some was NIL for sure but it was also with NBA contacts and potential agents courting their services. Go get him eastern Ky boy that's where I'm from....**** you to hell and ya stupid avatar!
I’d beat ya ass right now boy
You kind of dance around an important point about reed. Does he need superstars around him to be good? He might leave I mean if cal is still here why stay? I don’t think he’s a lottery pick. His stock will tank. The ncaat has a tendency to do that. His stock will likely tank further in the workouts and combines. Reed is a 3-5 year project for an nba team. He’s not plug and play like people believed. If we fire cal and hire a new exciting coach or he’ll pitino reed will likely stay. Bank on that! And the guy who says it will be a decade of not winning. If we can unload Cals Ass the eighth coach is out there to turn our program around in a season like cal did. This isn’t auburn buddy.Reed was not the only player not to play their A game.
What about Edward’s with no rebounds?
What about all the missed free throws early on?
Whether it is Reed, Rob, Justin, they are still kids really.
They are put into these situations with little room for error.
College basketball has changed in many ways and one of the reasons is teams are getting away from youth and going with older more experienced players
Not saying young studs don’t have a chance but it sure seems you don’t see anyone winning titles with all youngsters
Give Reed a break. Give all the players a break.
Not a single player on this team lost to K State, St Peters, etc.
We are 1-5 in our last 6 NCAA games.
Blame the one who deserves the blame.
And just a freshman. 🤷🏻♂️In the last three halves, he is 1-8 total.
He kinda wilted, but he is human.
Another reason he should stay. 🤷🏻♂️I can't blame Cal for Reed playing poorly. It was surprising to see the deer in the headlights look from him.
None of this is remotely accurate. You think NBA coaches and analysts suddenly drop someone from their draft board based on one poor performance? Hate to tell you, but they aren't emotionally invested like the fans and won't hit the panic button based on a bad night and emotion like a fan would. Could he drop a few slots? Sure. But teams that are interested in him still will be after last night. This year's draft is historically weak. It's a "role player" draft where teams are looking for guys that can be solid contributors off the bench. Reed can do that.I don’t think he’s a lottery pick. His stock will tank. The ncaat has a tendency to do that.
Shep had games he wasn’t looking for his shot like we wanted him too but don’t think he ever had a game like last night. He usually helped us in some way but last night was like he was sleep walking the whole game. Was not engaged on either end of the court. He got a little bounce in his step after hitting the 3 but that was short lived. Just the most bizarre game from him. Dillingham to a lesser degree was also not his normal self last night for the majority of the game. Don’t blame cal for their performance as they were on the floor but something was definitely off the entire game. I just want cal gone, he has poisoned the entire program.I can't blame Cal for Reed playing poorly. It was surprising to see the deer in the headlights look from him.
It wasn’t 1 game and yeah not being able to showcase your talent while others do it’s called being exposed. And you throw in the combines when reed is just playing for himself and not the state what kind of player is he? That’s an important component.None of this is remotely accurate. Ffs. Why do you think he'll perform poorly in the combines? Not sure what your agenda is, but you're seriously reaching. It wasn’t 1 game and yeah not being able to showcase your talent while others do it’s called being exposed. Great post . People making these comments aren’t also evaluating the other prospects at the top. Meanwhile the people that are more tuned in that have Reed where they have him for a reason .None of this is remotely accurate. This right here. In my mind, as a parent, I’m telling Reed to transfer to a program with a real coach. Don’t worry about NBA, or UK (especially if Cal is still here ) and go to a program with a proven coach and a team poised to make a good run.Would Jeff and Stacey want him to come back another year and play under Cal??
He was exposed. He’s young and the moment was too big for him.I agree these last 2 games he hasn't done well under pressure
I think you may be right. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.I’m telling you that something happened during halftime of the A&M game
