ExactlyHe's a coach who was ousted from his jobs for underperformance. Not surprising he's defending a HOF coach who he's known for 30+ years. Wouldn't read to much into anything the talking heads spew, you're better off not listening to any of them.
The damn results Kentucky has been getting the last few years is what's not fair.
Some days, the fans are just peons who mean nothing. Other days, the fans are the only ones responsible for the program decline. It’s hard to keep up with how insignificant or significant us fans are to the program.Still lots of chatter on other sites how the fan base is to blame, and we're too negative, blah, blah, blah.
If you are happy about one NCAA tourney win in 3 seasons, a 9-16 season, and one of UK's worst tourney losses in nearly 40 years, then, well, maybe it's time for a new team. And sure, we're not immune to bad streaks, no dynasty is. But when you start to see a trend.....
As my grand father used to say opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one and most of them stink. Greenberg can say what ever he wants but Cal has not delivered for several years now. The man is if not the highest, one of the highest paid coaches in the country and that could include the NBA as well. So for that kind of money and prestige yes he deserves any criticism that comes with the job.The damn results Kentucky has been getting the last few years is what's not fair.
Monty Williams at the Pistons is the highest paid at 13.5 million. As my grand father used to say opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one and most of them stink. Still 8.5 plus the other money he brings in for endorsements etc, is a pretty penny and means the criticism is fair. Hell I will take the job for 2 million.Monty Williams at the Pistons is the highest paid at 13.5 million.
Cal's official salary is 8.5 million. Tying him with the Heat's Erik Spoolestra. That ties him for FOURTH highest paid baskebal coach in the country.
And if anyone is curious, Bellichick is the highest paid coach in America at 20M.
And Diego Simeone is the highest paid sports coach at $40.59 MILLION to coach....futbol.
Crazy.
Fvch those other sites. They don't know their asses from holes in the ground. Rather than just sit back and take the last 3 years of futility, I'd rather not even field a team. Fans haven't made Cal suck in every way and act like he's never seen a basketball, before.Still lots of chatter on other sites how the fan base is to blame, and we're too negative, blah, blah, blah.

It would take a week to give King Cal an enema.Cal: I don't listen to the clutter. You take shots at me? I feel nothing. I've got bazooka holes in my chest already.
Also Cal checking out what the media says about him:
EVERYONE cares what people say about them. That's human nature. Now, to what degree they do varies from person to person.Cal: I don't listen to the clutter. You take shots at me? I feel nothing. I've got bazooka holes in my chest already.

I think if you look at his contract it does not. That includes his endorsements.
The Athletic department and h iversity pays him very little in comparison to his full contract. Most of his pay is radio and tv contracts and all the other endorsements.I think if you look at his contract it does not.
No, Bassworship is correct.I think if you look at his contract it does not.
