To get to the other side of the bracket (6-7 seed)….what do we need to happen? Can anything happen in SEC play tonight to guarantee us a 7 seed?
Still trying to guess which session to buy on Friday (please win Thursday).

According to KSR radio show, going 2-0 in remaining games will almost certainly result in 6 or 7 seed. Gotta win tonight and beat Missouri.

If we go 1-1, I’m assuming we need Ole Miss or TAMU to go 0-2.
It was super complicated when they explained it on yesterday’s show. I’m not going to pretend I understood it all. I’ll put it this way…if you go 1-1 (most likely to happen) there is a boatload of scenarios where you can end up in various seedlines. It doesn’t just involve Ole Miss and Mississippi State but also Vanderbilt. Recommend listening to the show instead of hearing from the Village Idiot on this one. Not enough brain power lol

I'm not expecting UK to make a big SECT run. Maybe win a game or two. That being said, definitely want to avoid being in Auburn's side of the draw. Going 1-1 is the most likely scenario vs LSU and @Mizzou.

So many scenarios! Easiest to just root against Missouri, MSU, Ole Miss, TAMU, and Vandy in every game. Those are the teams against whom we are jockeying for position. But, if we lose to Missouri, we will need a lot of help. So, let's just beat them.

The 8th seed in the SECT will play the #1 seed (Auburn) if they win their Thursday game. The 7th seed would face #2 seed (Florida or Bama) if they win their first game.

Currently, A&M and Ole Miss are 9-7 and tied for 6-7th place in SEC. Miss St, UK, and Vandy are all 8-8 and tied for 8th place.

Remaining games:
A&M: Auburn, @LSU
Ole Miss: Tennessee, @Florida
Miss St: Texas, @Arkansas
UK: LSU, @Mizzou
Vandy: Arkansas, @georgia

Ole Miss cold lose both. I do not expect AM will. I can't see us winning at Mizzou but if everything I write is wrong, then maybe.

Facts. My head hurt after listening to that, and I'm fairly number centric.

Vandy at Georgia
Mississippi State at Arkansas

Those are tough enough road games that I doubt both win on the road. Would be pleasantly surprised if we got a ten seed but it seems unlikely

Both those home teams (especially arkansas) need to win to have a shot to make ncaa. If Thiero isn't playing Arkansas has no shot though.

I’m expecting the 8 or 9 seed.

Good and bad to either scenario.

Conventional wisdom says avoid the Wednesday game, but another Quad 2 win on the resume wouldn’t hurt. Of course a Q2 loss wouldn’t help us much, though.

And it’s possible that a warm up game before playing a decent opponent on Thursday could be beneficial.

And a chance to go 2-1 in the tourney instead of 1-1. 2-1 sounds better.

Really, as long as we avoid the upset tonight, I think we are good no matter where we land.

Losing tonight at home would be one of those damaging Quad 3 losses.

We probably have a better shot of falling to the 10 seed to get to the other side of the bracket unless Ole Miss wins a game and Miss State loses a game and Vandy loses a game. Oh and if that stuff happens we only get an 8 seed not a 7.

Got to beat Missouri if you want a top 7 seed chance

UK will probably finish the season 22-13.

A win against LSU.
A win in the first round against the SEC tourney opponent.
A win in the first round of the NCAA tourney.

10 would avoid Auburn I think.

That’s what we want

That might take 0-2 though. 1-1 is a LIKELY 8 seed. That would mean Auburn in round 2.

Getting to a 10 seed with a 1-1 is easier then you think
Kentucky beats LSU loses @Missouri (9-9)

Ole Miss loses twice (vs Tenn, @FLA) (9-9)

Vandy wins 1 or 2 games (vs Ark, @georgia) (9-9 or 10-8)

Miss State wins 2 games (vs Texas, @Ark) (10-8)

This gives

#6 Miss State (If Miss State goes 2-0)
#7 Vandy (If Vandy goes 2-0)
#8 Texas A&M (If they lose Aub win vs LSU)
#9 Ole Miss (0-2)
#10 Kentucky (1-1)

So we would get either LSU or South Carolina on Wednesday 10/15 game and then get Vandy in 10/7 game

Meanwhile look at that 8/9 game A&M vs Ole Miss

If Vandy goes 1-1

#6 Miss State (If Miss State goes 2-0)
#7 Texas A&M (If they lose Aub win vs LSU)
#8 Vandy (1-1)
#9 Ole Miss (0-2)
#10 Kentucky (1-1)

This would set us up to play 10/7 vs Texas A&M

1 Auburn
2 Florida
3 Tennessee
4 Alabama
5 Missouri
6 Texas A&M
7 Ole Miss
8 Kentucky
9 Miss. St.
10 Vandy
11 Georgia
12 Arkansas
13 Texas
14 Oklahoma
15 LSU
16 South Carolina
