SEC Tiebreakers:
- A. Head-to-head competition against the tied teams
- B. Record versus all common conference opponents
- C. Record against highest (best) placed common conference opponent in the conference standings, and proceeding through the conference standings among the tied teams
- D. Cumulative conference winning percentage of all conference opponents among the tied teams
- E. Capped relative total scoring margin versus all conference opponents among the tied teams
- F. Random draw of tied teams
The SEC could have 5-6 teams with 2 losses. I'm still not sure if a Championship Game helps or hurts a conference. Seems like the loser of the championship game will be the conference "runner up" but with 3 losses will they get in the CFP?
Also, sooner or later we'll have a situation with 2 teams playing each other 3 times in a year: regular season, championship game, and meeting again in the playoffs. Not good. It could happen this year with Texas/Georgia and Oregon/Ohio State.
