SEC Tickets

Someone said they paid like 600 each for theirs. Yeah, have fun with that rich people.

Tickets will be easy to find. However finding reasonably priced tickets will be much harder. Nashville is fun, but way overpriced. Tickets too high, and rooms too high, New Orleans is much better imo. Further to travel, but I like it much better there.

Went to Atlanta last year and had a ball...Already have reservations ...just need tickets...????...Anyone???

Nashville is considerably more expensive than other SEC locations, but I think they'll be less expensive this year primarily because less UK fans will go - either avoiding the ridiculous expense altogether and/or saving money for the NCAA tournament games. You can already find books for ~$650, which isn't really that bad, especially compared to past seasons. I think you'll be able to get books for $500 once most tickets hit the resale market. Most haven't been shipped or assigned yet.

The best way to find tickets are to:
Call other schools' ticket offices. You may get lucky and get their unused tickets. Check online every day - stubhub, craigslist, message boards, etc.
If you wait until you get to Nashville, you can still get them on the street, from other fans, from scalpers, in hotel lobbies, etc. You just have to be vigilant and aggressive. This will be my 15th straight year and you should be able to at least get in.

If anyone gets wind of another school selling tickets, please let us know. I already have a great room, just need to round up some tickets.

If you don't mind, just curious where your staying? Is it downtown, and how much per night? I reserved early downtown at the Hilton next to the arena, but it's a ridiculous $389 a night.

I got kind of lucky. We are staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites about a block from the Arena. I got a friend to get it for me right after last years tourney with his Hilton points. I ended up getting 5 nights for around 600 dollars total (which I paid to him). I think the rooms are going for about 389 a night there last I checked and not very many left. Rooms are crazy expensive close to the arena. I have had this booked since like last April or May.

I was there the last time UK won it in Nashville. I paid 400 bucks a ticket for Friday's game and 800 bucks a ticket for the chsmpionship game. It was reported there were 80 to 100,000 UK fans who invaded Nashville just to be there. It was awesome.

I am not going to pay stupid high prices. I might go 800 a book or 800 for the 3 UK games, but that will about be my limit. That is still well above face value. Hell if I have to we will just pile into a nearby bar and watch them all. It will still be a big party.

Wow pdunn92074 that is a great rate, especially that close. Wish I could have found one for that rate. Booked mine the first day they were available and still have to pay $389 a night, but the arena is right across the street.

Think I'll save my cash for the NCAA tourney. I don't blame any of you that are going, but I'd rather watch a couple of NCAA games for the same money.
