SEC teams will thump this team

And btw….we could turn this thing around, I’m just saying right now…at this moment….we stink.
Honestly we start most seasons of playing very uninspiring football. Stoops teams over the years seem to play to the level of competition for the most part, especially when we have a talented team of which this year we are not void of talent. Will withhold judgement until we get into the heart of SEC play. If I recall we weren’t looking all that great before going to the swamp and getting the W when we did but played a game that night we hadn’t seen them play up until that point.

Some of you guys act like we are the only team having mistakes. Tennessee had 6 false starts and 100 yds in penalties. Alabama same, Same. We are not the only program having errors.
You reference a "moment" in time. Were these errors, you mention that Alabama and Tennessee had to suffer this year, consistent during the past, say, 10 years? I don't think so and teams will have down years. My point is that this is a recurring problem with UK teams under Stoops. Stoops seems frustrated by this unfortunate consistency but can't seem to do much to turn that corner and become more consistently effective in execution. He came to UK without the benefit of head coaching experience so maybe he's still learning. IDK, but the fact remains that the consistency of the same errors, year after year, is what's troubling. I hope he can get it fixed.

I don’t think anyone is going to run up a big score on UK. With the pace of play that Stoops wants, UK might get beat 28-7. But even down 3 TDs UK won’t change their game plan. On the flip side, I doubt UK could beat any SEC team by more than 3 TDs even if they were playing extremely well.

Mizzou's fans sounded like these that think the team isn't very good after two weeks. Then it became obvious in the KSt game that MU's approach and plan the first two weeks was extremely vanilla, especially on offense. Basically they were doing what it took to win against inferior teams, while not showing much. Whether that is the case here or not, who knows, but it's definitely worth a thought.

After reading this thread, talent can be a plus but you can make up for talent with proper game strategy. Play to your strengths, minimize weaknesses.
