SEC Nation just now

Yeah, saw it. Some of what we have been talking about. Instead of getting first downs with quick passes or Levis just taking off cost us every time. Route running not good and Levis panics. Kept talking about how bad of a pocket presence Levis has and is not something can really teach. Compared to Young who has a great pocket presence, eluding the heat and running if need to. Said with our issues of pass protection all that just compounded because Levis holds on to the ball too long and panics. Need short routes for that instead of trying the deep ball too much. If Levis has a good pocket presence the OL would not be as much of a problem because he would know when to scramble for time or run the ball himself. Looked like coaches should take some of the blame also not knowing to run shorter routes or the correct routes to run.

As far as pocket presence, haven’t the coaches basically publicly said they don’t want Levi’s to run the ball..I can’t remember this for sure. If they don’t want him to run, then I guess he is starting at negative 10 on pocket presence.

Said this all season. They just don’t do a good job of analyzing their weaknesses and fixing the situation. Play to your strengths. When he went on Gameday the day of the Tennessee game and proclaimed “We are what we are” he sent a terrible message. He told every opponent that we are not going to change what we are doing so please feel free to gameplan around it. How dumb is that? Who does that? Lazy coaching, boring predictable offense that is so easily defended that the worse team in the Country came into our house last week and kicked our predictable ass.

We've got a terrible offensive coordinator who possesses zero ability to adapt to the players he has. He is a system coach completely and totally committed to a very specific approach and he's not willing to change anything even slightly. Someone so rigid simply has no business coaching college football. When you factor in Mark Stoops and his need to control clock, then you end up with the disaster we've witnessed this season. Eddie Gran could coach circles around Scangarello. That guy did an amazing job of totally revamping our offense on the fly during emergencies and keeping us competitive. If we had Scangarello the seasons where Bowden had to play QB or the year Drew Barker went down with an injury can you imagine what a disaster would have unfolded?

It’s hard for me to watch these shows right now, as much as I usually love them. Lot of wind out of my sails after last weekend.
It sucks. Typically am up and over at the tailgate, watching the shows, creating some good vibes. Today I’m sitting at the house doing laundry. Just can’t get interested today

We run levels on every concept. Levis always has someone short if he wants it.

We ran all quick stuff vs UT. 3 picks and barely moved the ball.

Quick stuff requires quick decisions. Levis can't make quick decisions.

At this point it is what it is

"Pocket presence" is hard to define and I'm not sure if you can "coach it up". It touches on most everything about QB play inn the passing game other than actually throwing the ball. Will is plenty good at that but I wonder about his overall pocket presence? Definitely not NFL caliber now and I'm not sure how "patient" pro teams are at "coaching it up". JMO

I’ll be surprised if Levis makes it out of this game without an injury. Our line has no chance against their front four. Goin’ to be ugly.
Kirby will be out to prove Bennet is the better QB for NFL teams to take over Levis.
Kirby will have his D pumped for a beat down win and keep Levi’s on his back.
UGA offense will be pumped for a show and will pad their stats.

Hope I’m wrong but I think this ends up ugly for our coaching staff.

Stoops was asked on his show about Levis running and he said that yes and when they was at their best was when Levis was running. He said that since he got hurt he is probably apprehensive to run.

They pointed out that pocket presence on what they was talking about involves being able to feel the heat when it is coming and able to either make the right pass, getting out of the pocket to buy time or run for whatever yards you can get. And they said more than once that Levis is just not good at that. Think he will still go in the first round because of his arm and build but if he doesn't get the right coach will have trouble in the pro's because of his decision making and feel at the position. Mentioned the number of interceptions he has thrown and that goes into not being able to make the right decisions.

Stetson is 5’9” nobody drafting him. He might win two national titles but he’s not playing in the NFL. Levi’s is the better pro type quarterback based on measurements. All that being said, I don’t think Levis is a sure fire pro quarterback either. He will get a shot but I don’t think he’s guaranteed anything. Just based on what I’ve seen this year and maybe that’s not his fault but it is what it is. Drafts are all based on potential anyways. IMO Hooker is the best quarterback I’ve seen this year bar none.

Wow ... I know nothing about technical strategies of an offense but, I swear ... I've been saying the same thing all year. OL just give him enough time to stand in the pocket and hit that 5-6 yard pass over the middle. Other SEC teams have beaten the crap of us consistently over the years doing just that. That said, I'm sure it's more complicated than I know ... or maybe not. Always seems to be receivers open long enough to make that pass or a pass to a different receiver.

They did a few weeks back because of his injuries. But they ran some RPOs last week. Made no sense at all

All don’t get me wrong I think Levis is also the better option in the draft.
But I also think Kirby will be out to try to show his QB off and also do all he can to keep Levi’s on his back.

There is ZERO senerio where Bennett will be drafted before Levis . Or even drafted at all .

That said this game is pretty much over. Better than I expected for sure.

Sorry. I posted that when I read your comment and didn’t realize you had already addressed what you were meaning. My bad .

I see the Moral Victory Police are out. Why we’ll always be a basketball school. 😔

Lmao! It's OK sweetie.. there there. You just wandered onto the wrong board.... awww

Still whinin and cryin so many days after unranked MSU beat your basketball school. Not a good look. Why don't you instead admit you didn't know what the fk you were talking about? Weak af if you think anyone claimed victory after the loss yesterday. Maybe that's what you do on the basketball side

Triggered, I see. Been watching both programs for over 30 years. One is clearly more successful than the other. Calipari, for all his faults, actually was right for once.
