I think if Butler don’t comeback 19 wins will be the max for this team. They’ve laid down. I hope I’m wrong because it won’t do any good if they do get in the tournament. If you can’t play D you can’t win.19 wins and they are in, idk how many times people have to see this, they have the best win in cbk
Playing with effort and intensity shouldn’t be dependent on if the PG is playing.Lol.. Not sure what some y'all expected being both our only 2 pgs are out.. But yall keep on keeping on.. Glad I'm not torn up like a bunch y'all are 😂
I never said they were playing good..Playing with effort and intensity shouldn’t be dependent on if the PG is playing.

We have good enough players to beat Duke, Tennessee, Gonzaga, Florida... Now whatYeah that makes sense. We need better players, so don’t donate so we can get some. Great attitude
Yeah that kid is awful. Blocked him after about his 10th post.If you stop looking at this forum it would be like winning the Super Bowl. You’re top 5 of bad posters on this board.
Little short of the gold standard.3 Wins and 18-14 (including a first round loss in the SEC tourney) and you are in. Probably an 11 seed but still in. And that's all I want at this point - just get three more wins and get in.
Despite how bad we are now, our wins stack up against anyone. Making the tournament is not an issue. Anyone can lose (clearly). But who have you beat? That’s what matters most to the committeeWe will be lucky to make the tournament with the schedule we have coming up. We will be favored in 2 maybe 3 of our up coming 9 games, assuming we lose tonight we are likely looking at finishing 4-6 ish and a 19-12 finish. Likely a bubble team.
Some of you are still stuck on that team you saw when we were 100% healthy, that team is gone.
We will be better when we get our point guard back, but yes we do have more losses coming than we would like. I kind of expected that this year though. We will be lucky to make the tournament with the schedule we have coming up. We will be favored in 2 maybe 3 of our up coming 9 games, assuming we lose tonight we are likely looking at finishing 4-6 ish and a 19-12 finish. Likely a bubble team.

So go away, and STFU. Those of us with brains knew that this would be a process. We will be lucky to make the tournament with the schedule we have coming up. We will be favored in 2 maybe 3 of our up coming 9 games, assuming we lose tonight we are likely looking at finishing 4-6 ish and a 19-12 finish. Likely a bubble team.

So that means you can’t fight and show some balls in the first half??? Idc if you don’t have a pg or whatever, you can fight and get after people. Never knew the point guard was responsible for making guys want to fight and play hard, but atleast we showed a little in the 2nd half but too big a hole to climb out of.We don’t have a freaking point guard dude. Not one. Not a starter, not a backup. It’s kind of important in basketball.
The fact we beat Tennessee is a miracle.
You know what's funny? We will be lucky to make the tournament with the schedule we have coming up. We will be favored in 2 maybe 3 of our up coming 9 games, assuming we lose tonight we are likely looking at finishing 4-6 ish and a 19-12 finish. Likely a bubble team.

It doesn’t really matter if it comes back or not. Shift your focus. This team is going absolutely nowhere with or without him.I need someone to tell me if butler is coming back. If he is I’ll stay engaged with the season. If not then I’m gonna save myself misery and shift my focus to other things in my life
Who cares what he did or didn’t do with the last coach? No one hated the Cal lovers more than I did. But I’ve moved on and so should you. I’m a broken record on this, but I’ll say it again: take off the either/or glasses. This isn’t about preferring CCC or Pope to be the coach. We’re clearly in a situation where both CCC was washed up and Mark Pope was not the best hire. It is what it is and we’re stuck with it for the next few years. You know what's funny?
I don't recall you ever starting threads like this when Calipari was the head coach.
Funny how the narrative has turned so easily for some of you now that Cal's gone.
Lamont butler would like to respectfully disagree with your last sentenceIt doesn’t really matter if it comes back or not. Shift your focus. This team is going absolutely nowhere with or without him.
We were pounded in the first half today the same way that Gonzaga pounded us. The difference is that Gonzaga completely collapsed. And we were at full strength against them.
We damn well knew Cal was never winning another oneDid any of yall really think mark pope was gonna win a title? Lol
And yes, that’s all that matters here.
I specifically remember starting a thread about how something was wrong that we were starting Wheeler over Ty Ty and and how something in Cal had flipped that we weren't starting/playing the best players. You know what's funny?

Yes, we are absolutely sure that Cal was never winning another title here. And most of us wanted him gone and are thrilled that he’s no longer here.We damn well knew Cal was never winning another one
Dude calm down.We will be lucky to make the tournament with the schedule we have coming up. We will be favored in 2 maybe 3 of our up coming 9 games, assuming we lose tonight we are likely looking at finishing 4-6 ish and a 19-12 finish. Likely a bubble team.

PG out, multiple starters injuredAnother question, What happened to this high scoring team? These guys were avg close to 90 a game......
Pope gets 3 recruiting seasons before we can judge his ability. This years certainly does not count. Starting into Pope's 5th year in Lexington is the earliest he should be judged. He did not have a prayer this year and he does not have anything close to an elite squad. We have two or three shooters but neither of them can guard a fence post set in concrete.I held on to Cal’s rope and got bashed many times so I stopped posting (and I still think losing Cal ended up being a good thing for us).
On the same hand, you gotta realize Pope put a team together in a blink of an eye and lost BOTH point guards he planned on playing.
On the other hand though, if next year looks similar, start over. I’ll be way less forgiving with next years roster because he has a whole year to construct it. But we have to get a two year window before we start talking about Popes job.
"We" now that's funny.I assure you if we only win two or three more games we’re on the wrong side of the bubble. But you keep telling yourself that a few wins will save us.
And does it really matter if we do make it? We’re going to have a really bad seat at this point in Mark Pope is going to continue his streak of not having any tournament wins.
Y'all have got to let the Cal sh*t go, man. It's not healthy. It's the rebuttal to everyone who has any criticism of the current situation. We damn well knew Cal was never winning another one

Look. Triple C leaving was like making The Final Four. Good riddance. You even correctly stated he was ‘washed up’ in your post. Washed up means FOREVER. But don’t dismiss Mark Pope. College basketball has changed forever in a bad way. NIL is a terrible thing. It makes it hard as hell to win on a consistent basis. Mark Pope would take a bullet for UK and BBN. He’s smarter than 99.9% of BBN and Triple C left him with zero. Give him some time. Look at Hurley and all of the other old guys so many fans wanted … no thanks. Things have changed and if we’re an also ran for a year or two it’s okay. UK will be back but Triple C never will. GBB.Who cares what he did or didn’t do with the last coach? Cal has nothing to do with the three recruits we have signed. Of the three, only Johnson will be an impact guy next year. Pope has to get a top PG in the portal, some SEC level bigs, and some guys who can defend. But he'll already have 8 guys on the roster between our returning players and recruits. Screw the 2-3. Let's just give him 2 and see where we are at the end of that.Cal left zero elite talent - it wil take 2-3 to buy a top roster
What makes you so sure that UK will be back? The term "glory days" exists for a reason. And we may be forever looking back on them. I'd bet the house Pope won't win a title here. If he's here 5 years, that drought just gets longer and longer.Look. Triple C leaving was like making The Final Four. Good riddance. You even correctly stated he was ‘washed up’ in your post.
