UK has one of the better QBs they have ever had, one of the best running backs in UK history and one of the best receiver groups in my life time and the season is a disaster. How the heck is the Oline so awful this year? Going into this season I wouldn't have said this, but now I firmly beleave that UK would be in much better shape if they had hired the pirate instead of Stoops. Without looking at the stats, it looked like brown and key were targeted 1 or 2 times apiece. That is unacceptable.

Well in a nutshell..
1. You can win a whole hell of lot more games with controlling the LOS than you can throwing it around. That is what the Big 12 conference does but in this league...you get stuffed if you can't handle your own up front. Teams will just crowd the box, pressure your QB and not able to make them pay with deep routes.
2. Granted the OLine really hampers other spots...but Scangerello and Yenser are a step back from Coen and past Oline coaches. And I'd argue we miss Sumrall on D side. All the coaching attribution...I think it is catching up to us.
3. Everybody has injuries....but UK has had it's worst year with them this season. Vito gone for year before it began, then Geiger at safety...but Levis is too huge a dropoff to overcomes, Flax is huge loss as we lack Oline play with him (now it's even worse), Jacqez Jones is a hit on D side, Weaver doesn't look strong on edge with his elbow, etc.. We're war more banged up than usual.
