Saw Cal and Roubic at Adidas tournament today in Suwanee Ga.

Saw Kobi Simmons play today, he didn't have a great game, but he has it all. Also got to see Rawle Alkins and Jarret Allen play this afternoon. Allen is really long and has a devastating jump hook. His team was a little over matched ( I left at halftime) by Team Elite out of Indiana but he is a stud. Alkins is a big strong lead guard with outstanding handles and a smooth jumper. His team won by 4 in tough game against Team Loaded out of North Carolina. All three would be great gets for UK.

I'm a big Alkins fan. He is rarely mentioned here. He played Charles Matthews' team last season and Matthews could not stop him. In fact I might be able to dig up some tape where Alkins breaks CM's ankles.

Yes I did as a matter of fact, it was about 8 or 9 years ago, I told him to recruit the best players in the country and he would get to multiple final fours and maybe even win a title or two.

So that's why Matthews spent the bulk of last summer sitting out injured.
