Saturday in Columbia, SC just got a lot bigger

This game could be the difference in winning the SEC or not. I realize that we have a bunch of tough games remaining, but this may be the toughest of them all. A win Saturday would break that bad road streak that seems to haunt our young team.

This is an important game. It isn't THE difference. But it is time for Kentucky to play a strong game on the road in another SEC team's arena for the 1st time this year. If we can.

Historically SC doesn't have a program that they're really known for. This past decade its been baseball and good for them, they deserve it. I just think they're starving for the same success in basketball and football

I didn't realize that honestly. Also, that was not a knock on SC at all.

Yeah but that's only cause of the 15 game win streak at the beginning of the season to which they beat......well no one except Vandy at home.

They did have two impressive wins in their last two tho LSU was at home in a game which they were favored (LSU might not even be a tournament team as they are squarely on the bubble) and Texas A&M hasn't played well in weeks.

I would put them in the good category. But I think they are getting way too much credit.

The win over Arkansas was our best effort so far on the road, but it wasn't a complete game. We played a great 1st half and then played down to the level of the competition in the 2nd half. Arkansas is a 12-12 team, an SEC bottom dweller. At 21-3, South Carolina is the nation's #21 ranked team in RPI, #20 ranked according to USA Today. Frank Martin is an elite coach. We have looked terrible on the road against unranked teams. Today is a huge challenge for us. So far this year, we just haven't handled this kind of road game well, although a glimmer of hope was provided by our 1st half performance against Kansas.

Agreed.... It would be remarkable to win this one on the road. If we manage to win at USC, we are really getting into winning form. We certainly haven't shown that we can do that on the road so far this season.
