SATURDAY games thread

I think byu has continued to get screwed , and just got called for the feet forward three point special by a turd from Wisc
This games has not been called exactly fair across the board. They called a foul on BYU when a badger drove the lane, 2 plays later the exact same play except it was a BYU guard driving the lane and the defender jumped into him and it was a no call.

McNeese men's basketball coach Will Wade wiped away tears after his team's 76-62 loss to Purdue in the second round of the NCAA tournament, saying he wasn't yet ready to look ahead to taking over at NC State.

"I'll worry about that tomorrow. I'M AN HONEST GUY(he was given a 10-game suspension and two-year show-cause penalty), but today I want to put a bow on everything with McNeese if we can," said Wade

An honest guy 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 A strong ass dishonest guy.

More Ulis and KAT and oh what could've been!

I mentioned this in another thread.. I really hate this take lol. You can't go away from the twins that just won 38 games in a row and were currently 9-1 in tournament games to date. I love Ulis, but that would not have been a smart move and imagine if we lost because we benched the twins., it would go down as one of the most head-scratching moves in college basketball I the last decade.

I think Wisconsin was just very good, and we all got tight with the pressure of 40-0.

Man we keep focusing on what Cal and Pope are doing.. but in the context of "new jobs" I find Young at BYU fascinating.. on the verge of a Sweet16 in year 1, something Pope couldn't pull off. I have to say, that gets my attention a little bit. I'm a big Pope believer, but that's not the best look. But maybe Young is just legit.

I think it can be read both ways. Maybe the structure that Pope built helped BYU make a deeper run this year but he left too soon and doesn't get to enjoy the rewards? Gotta see if the new guy can sustain it. It's like when Kevin Ollie won the title with that UConn team. That was Calhoun's work, not his.

We alone have came back from 12 plus points down numerous times this year. Maybe you were asleep.

That's great. The point remains.

The record of a team up double digits at any point in a game is massive. Specific instances don't change that.
Cal in his 15 years at Kentucky went 350-17 when up 10+ at any point

Of course he started 274-6 through Jan 11 2020 and then the losses started piling up with the not so great teams compared to his first 9 years

76-11 from Jan 25th 2020 to March 9th 2024

Ill hold off on Young once I see his results with his 100% own roster.

Gonzaga going down will hurt my draft.

I grabbed Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Gonzaga, Baylor, UCSD, UNCW and Bryant.. still looking OK.

I’m not really sure what the deal was that they seem more willing to invest as soon as Pope left. Young may very well be legit though. He was considered a guy who had a shot at earning an NBA head coaching gig before they hired him.

Man get off fantasy island. BYU has already done something they haven’t done in years, made it past the first round. Ask yourself, would that not play inside your head? If you say no then you’re not a competitor.
People who lack perspective also think everyone else must lack it as well.

Right? I'm glad you said this because it was another thought I had earlier.. Pope leaves and NOW you want to shell out 8mil for a single player? I find that very odd too. Almost makes me think that maybe not all the boosters and/or alu, were in on Pope.. because Young is getting more finances than Pope ever got.

Then again, it is new in the NIL era.. so maybe the timing is a coincidence.

Watched Auburn winning for the third time and Rupp arena and their fans chanting : this our house …..ewwwww

Now have to watch TN in Rupp arena again….

We'll never know. Ulis did lead us in assists on the season. There were some bad possessions by Andrew that game where he looked lost. I thought putting in Ulis then could've righted the ship. Regardless, we went away from KAT that game where we needed him badly. He was abusing Kaminsky when given the opportunity.
