that college athletics has to have a 'NCAA style' organization to reign in rouge athletic programs. Unfortunately the NCAA has proven itself time and time again to show favoritism by minimilizing, ignoring, or on the other hand going over the top.

We need to get rid of the NCAA or keep it as purely a business operations/marketing arm and have a separate, fully independent body of enforcement types. And these have a limit on how long they can be in that job. Having people at the NCAA for so long just lends itself to bias. Just my 2 centavos

Rogue, for gods sake! There aren't a bunch of programs going out their selling illegal makeup!

Okay, honest question: Does ANYONE truly believe that MOST basketball and football players at major universities receive a quality education?

The common perception is that all of these kids are being directed into joke majors and easy classes that are designed for the purpose of keeping them eligible. There is a also a common perception that most of these kids are getting far more than what is allowable by NCAA guidelines, such as cash, gifts, etc.

Do ALL of these kids get free credits and benefits? Is is more for the superstars? Or, this is overblown>

How great would it be for UNC and UL to have titles forfeited?

Cal had a FF vacated - because a kid took a test.

These guys would have TITLES vacated due to cheating by staff - oh how sweet it would be.

Most likely not going to happen but would shut a bunch of them up.

I think the NCAA's new policy is let all of those teams mentioned above cheat, and they will pentalize SMU. It's only fair to let some walk away free.

The NCAA should have nothing to do with rules enforcement , they simply aren't unbiased to do so . Ideally let the NCAA create the ridiculous rules but a completely independent institution enforce the rules . The major problem is that humans are almost incapable of acting with integrity when large sums of cash are involved . Boosters would be trying to pay individuals off within the institution . Sports brings out the worst in human nature .

If she has pictures with players and recruits as indicated then UL will not be able to use their spin machine to avoid NCAA penalties.
