Rylan Griffen Visit Coming

I watched his transfer portal highlights from Alabama. I’m not usually a fan of comparing recruits to previous Kentucky players, but his style of play does very much resemble that of Jaxson Robinson.

Does anyone remember watching him at Alabama? How good/impactful was he then?

We all watched him. Started for a Final Four team, playing 26 mins per game and shooting 39% from three on 5 attempts/game.

His problem last year was the culture/climate at KU was bad and he was a victim.

I remember certain knowledgeable posters (namely raplphdaltonfan) telling us we didn’t want any part of Dickinson or Storr. They were both locker room cancers.

Based on what happened this past season in Lawrence, they knew what they were talking about.

Also, most KU fans seem to be bummed he is leaving and blamed Self for not using him effectively and were hoping he would be back and be used correctly.

Trust Pope. If Pope thinks he is a good fit and he wants to be here, I am all for it. As someone earlier mentioned, Self may have done us a favor, I am sure he will be cheaper than he was coming out of Bama.

Had 19 points as Bama beat #1 seed UNC
Had 13, 8 assists and 4 rebounds in the Elite 8 win

For the year as a true sophomore:

74/189 for 39.2% from 3
81%

Living here in Alabama, I tend to watch the Alabama players rather closely. I’m telling you right now, Rylan was every bit a sniper that would be extremely useful to us.

The tournament experience for Butler was invaluable; I suspect we will see the same with Rylan. Bring him on 100%.

I agree! I’d be happy with Griffin, and I don’t think last year at Kansas is an accurate measuring stick. That team had some type of issues.

Well many better players out there but guess Uk can't pay the asking price.

It depends if you believe the CBS report on how much the team has spent and has left.
