It looks like UK has reached out to Rylan Grffen from Kansas and Dan Skillings Jr. from Cincinnati. Looks like Gates is gonna go in a different direction so it makes sense to look at other options.
Rylan Griffen- Kansas (former Bama transfer) 6'6 190lbs junior - 6.3 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 1.4 APG, 37.2% FG, 33.6% 3PT, 67.5% FT - #54 overall transfer at 247
Dan Skillings Jr- Cincinnati 6'5 210lbs junior - 9.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 1.5 APG, 44.0% FG, 29.9% 3PT
Skillings kinda feels like a poor man's version of Otega. Im not really sure he fits what we still need at UK.
I do like the idea of Rylan Griffen. He took a BIG step back going from Bama to Kansas. His stats his sophomore year at Bama were good: 11.2 PPG, 3.4 RPG, 1.9 APG, 39.2% FG, 39.2% 3PT and 81% FT. With him coming off a bad year at Kansas you would think you can get him at a nice NIL discount. If Pope can get him close to his sophomore Bama play then thats a HUGE win in my opinion.
