The comment was he only has 2 NCAA tournament wins. I was referring to NCAA tournament wins, not SEC or for God's sake an NIT win, oh wait we lost there too!!

My comment had to do with WVU and Andy Kennedy. YOU brought Cal into it?

And I was referring to NCAA tournament wins also- in the last 5 years, (2019-2023), we have 4 NCAA tournament wins, not 1. Math is hard.

Oh I have been to Detroit and it’s awful. But that’s just one city. The entire state of WV is covered in potholes. And to top it off, they charge a ton in tolls to help pay for those crater filled roads.

Ben is really a winner. Head coach Norhwest Missouri State a division 2 squad but what accomplishments. 81% win percentage. Four times national championships. 11 time league champion. Division 2 coach of the year five times. Just 42 years old. Wouldn't mind seeing him at Kentucky one day.

I'm telling you, the guy knows how to win. He's got a formula and an approach. My one concern would be he tends to identify those guys that just couldn't quite get the role they wanted at a DI and convince them to come to Maryville. But I'm telling you, if you can get a kid to come to Maryville freaking MO to play hoops, you can sell ice to Eskimos. And that's the most important thing. You have to get players. And he can coach them too. Literally has one of the most efficient offenses in college basketball year after year after year. And they don't run and out athlete you. It's execution and shooting the shots from where you need to shoot them to be successful by the guys that need to be shooting them. But I get the feeling Ben isn't going to jump for just any DI gig. If it's not in a major conference, it's going to have to be one of the best mid-major type jobs. I just see something like this WVU job, and the timing, and think this is the perfect storm type opportunity he needs. I coach HS hoops in MO and would love to see him get and take his chance, but would also hate to see him go. I love getting to see him at our clinics.
