Beating Florida in the Swamp was already going to be tough, now, much tougher.
Its also amazing that after all this time the game total is still in limbo.
Alot of you guys have been talking up this stable of RBs UK has. Well, guess what? We are going to find out just how good they are.
The Kentucky football curse lives.

I think there was some other stuff that’s been kept under wraps. Nobody really knows, but I recall that being speculated earlier.

I think Florida is a 7 win team so winning there would have been tough but I don’t think CRod would have made the difference.

Curse? Meh... I'm over that. CRod just opened up the touches for some young talents. He might be the one cursed if Lavell Wright catches fire.

They REALLY need to say what that large of a suspension is for.

I know every UK fan wants to know what is costing one of the best players a third of the season. It's already been said it wasn't a legal issue, so it's either a compliance issue or academic issue, what is left? I read here he had gotten his degree,so that would seem to eliminate academics. So that leaves some kind of compliance issue I would think. Just guessing but some paperwork not properly filed or filed at all about NIL. Not accusing or claiming it the truth. But if not legal or anemic what else could it be.

I also can’t think of anything else but it would be weird for reporters being unwilling to report some paperwork thing like that. Frankly, it weird they won’t report it regardless.

It has to be the compliance department classifying his income as nil and penalizing him for not getting pre-approval. That's literally the only thing it can be.

The timing fits too. When one is arrested, they have to fill out a financial affidavit. The income listed raised eyebrows because he made more than they thought. They deem him making too much money at his job and classified the difference as nil, which didn't go through compliance. He eventually submitted it for approval and was approved, but levied a suspension for not getting the required pre-approval.

That's literally all it can be. Nothing else is left.

I just want you guys to know I am not accusing, but like you are saying what else can it be

I might be wrong on this, but if what we are thinking it to be, it would fall under student confidentiality rules and isn't covered by FOIA. Then all one could report is speculation like we are doing here.

We are always the school that suspends our best player for a year for pissing on the locker room floor. We tell everyone, this is how it’s done. And every school in America especially the sec laughs at us because they sweep the most serious stuff under the rug. No SEC school ever does anything to threaten football.

I’m not talking about FOIA. There are multiple UK football reporters who say they know what it is but aren’t saying. Hell Matt Jones said he knows but he’s been asked not to share what happened. Guy who runs this site claims to know as well but isn’t saying so he doesn’t miss any head pats from staff. Pretty sorry reporting around our program

Considering whats going on in NIL, if that's the case we have to know. This has the stench of Barney stamped all over it.

UGA suspended Todd Gurley 2 extant games after the NCAA gave him 2. Now that may not happen with Kirby, but it did with Richt.

Kinda like a few years ago one of our players had a gun he was kicked off the team. Saban had a player in a car with weed and a stolen gun. Dude didn’t get suspended and never missed a game. Saban said he didn’t want to ruin the player. We kinda go overboard to look clean. Like this NIL we are being clean while others are getting the players!!

CRod also has a right to some privacy, do you think Stoops and especially would be sitting idle lying by if they felt one of their stars was being mistreated, or CRod'sfather for that matter.

This is exactly right.

This was also a University decision, not an athletics department one.

When arrested, you do not have to fill out a financial affidavit. This is not true. If you ask for a public defender, you have to swear under oath that you can't afford to hire a lawyer, and depending on the judge that may delve into your personal finances. But, just being arrested does not require someone to disclose their financial situation.

I'm glad Mark Stoops has put our football team on the map. But I don't want to become Tennessee. Some of you on here would sell your souls for a better football team. I think we should earn it and not let players deserving of suspensions play just because we want to win. I have no idea what he did to warrant a suspension, but I promise you we are not suspending him for no reason when it hurts our team.
