Rock or whoever on Conyer to the Vols

Why would any defensive player go to a school where you will be on the field 35+ minutes per game? The longer you are on the field and more worn out your body gets, the more likely you are to suffer injuries. That gimmicky offense they have is designed to score quick and while it may be enticing to offensive guys, for the defense who is stuck on the field for long periods of time it seems like a deterrent to me.

I was referencing the comment that UK offered more money and he still went to UT.
I don't buy that bulljive for a second...it came from a UT poster.

1. Look at it this way...UT is documented for buying a QB for $8Mil (and fatty Heupel throwing up signs is just ridiculous)
2. UK is struggling like we've not seen in years coming off a Citrus bowl season in recruiting.

Do you honestly think we are bidding for for players and an instate player goes to UT when we offered more money? Does any part of that make a lick of sense? It is beyond obvious UK isn't bidding for players and selling them instead they can get their own NIL once at UK.....Tennessee is not operating by that playbook.

Can someone please explain to me what these stupid signs are supposed to mean/represent anyway? Why do they want to act like they are gangsters?

Agree with your whole post but not sure we can make jokes about other coaches being fat lol. Kidding but I have seen that UK offered Conyer a big NIL deal in a few forums, and I have to think that’s just something UT staff put out to make it look like that wasn’t the deciding factor for him to come there.

The only documentation reported I've seen UK offered Conyer NIL package is on this forum...and it's from UT fans.

I'll take a pass on going to vol message boards....they have their own agenda.

But until I see it reported from UK staff, UK reporters, Conyer family or Rockcat on this forum....I just don't believe UK offered a big NIL that outbid UT for Conyer.

Knoxville fans are too insecure and small to admit what they are doing. So to build their tiny self esteems up they make up lies to each other that UK offered Conyers huge HUGH NIL bucks, but he chose Knoxville to recieve winning defensive coaching.

When the facts and evidence is obvious and indisputable that UK is offering jack shat in NIL, dispute that, explain our 2023 class results.

UT KNOWS what they are doing with NIL is against NCAA rules.

They are trying to make it appear that everyone else is doing it too.

Cheaters always accuse others of cheating in an effort to excuse their own cheating.

There is zero evidence of any football recruit receiving NIL offers to attend UK.

While every top recruit that gets to Knoxville walks away with a huge bag.

UT offered Francis Mauigoa that big huge bad of money and he chose Miami still. I guess relationships still matter. 😜

If I'm going to pay for a player, it won't be a 3 star SMALL DB. It will be at least a 4 star that can start from day 1!!!!

Maybe UK is just being more selective. Heck, Coach Stoops himself stated in an interview on KSR that he had a problem with using NIL for recruits.

Nope.
The Miami bag man outbid them on this one. Miami is like UT. Lots of boosters with deep pockets and never been concerned about the rules around recruiting.
Maybe you don't get it. They said UK out I'd them but relationships won over

Oh, I get it. Relationships have very little to do with the recruiting success in Knoxville or Miami.

It's all about the NIL. We just have to get in the game or be satisfied with the 15th best recruiting class when OK and Texas join the SEC.

Hard for many to shift their mindset to realize all that they thought and were told mattered in recruiting now means.......zero.

playing for a winning team?
Practicing in good facilities?
Play for a good coach?
Play in a scheme that fits your skills?
Play in front of dedicated fans?
Be a part of good community?
Play great conference opponents?
Play on national tv?
Get prepared for NFL?
Get prepared for the 40 yrs after football?

Before 2021 all that stuff was important....now means diddly poo.

Only question that is asked: how much cash money are you putting into my hands, right now, this second?

Hard for many to shift their mind and understand 18 year old kids change their minds constantly and can be swayed by glamour and money and most importantly they tell press and coaching staffs of schools how much they love their school to get out of awkward conversations and deal with being crucified because they just have a different opinion than fans of that school. Much like the majority of adults they avoid awkward and hard conversations and hurt feelings. They like the perks of the trips and the attention. It is what it is
