Robinson’s Wrist?

I was only able to half watch today. Did he play ok? Did it look like it was bothering him?
Yes it bothered him several times and he had to exit the game. He came back in each time it seemed to bother him though, so he was able to play through the pain. He had what I'd say was an OK game leaning towards a poor game.

He played through it and did what was necessary. Was still aggressive on both ends which was nice to see considering what we've seen before. Should be fine moving forward.

He was in pain any time it got hit. Could be a stress fracture. Or could be something as simple as arthritis (and yes, young people can get it too, especially temporary from overuse).

He needs to rest it the next couple of days.

Coach Pope said in his postgame radio interview with Leach that Robinson and Garrison collided in practice yesterday and that's when Robinson hurt his wrist, they took an X-ray that was "scary" but an MRI was more promising. I assume maybe a sprain or deep bruise, but am certianly no doctor.

Yeah trying to think what would look scary in and X-ray but not an mri.

Google had this to say “An injury that would appear severe on an X-ray but less concerning on an MRI is typically a bone fracture with minimal soft tissue damage”

Hence why I leaned toward more of a fracture at first guess because Pope said the X-ray looked scary. But maybe it’s just a bad sprain. I think that would look worse on MRI though considering sprains a usually a soft tissue injury.

Wrist and hands are one of the most complex structures in the body. The other is the knee. Both can have nagging injuries. I just hope Jax is ok.

He had black tape only - more like mild sprain (which can still be painful), jam or bone bruise. Most likely a sprain and a bruise (bruises sometimes do show up on Xrays and can sometimes be mistaken for fractures - hence the MRI).

Had it been identified as a fracture and he still played, there would have been more of a splint/cast. But since it's his right shooting hand, no way he could have done any shooting with a stiffened wrist.

I did notice defensive players trying to make him drive to his right when he was regularly moving around dribbling with his left and to his left. Each time he'd dribble 3-4 times and pass.

My guess is they saw some widening of intercarpal space on plain film imaging and the follow-up MRI showed grade 1-2 sprain and not a complete ligament tear. Or not.

I've got crappy wrists that are prone to hurt from overuse. I'm just glad to hear it's likely a sprain rather than anything more serious.

With how amazing this season has been... with all things considered the injuries really have screwed us from being better.

Not good...he probably should sit a couple games to let it fully heal, or else he's gonna keep reaggravating during the games. Could be something that lingers the rest of the season unless he takes a week off

I hope he is fine for Tuesday's game against the Vols. We need to have him guard Ziegler again. His size definitely caused Ziegler problems in our previous win. Have Butler guard the other guard (Gainey?).
