One thing I'd bring up is Rick has always said, tpmthe absolute disgust of his fans, that uk is was and always will be the Don. The guy looked into a national interview with cameras rolling and said leaving uk was the single biggest mistake of his life. Not career. Life.

What a turd. He says he didn't "like the other comments" being made? That was the only thing said (and it appears the fan was actually saying 1-9) and he can't take it. I actually am amazed that some of the Louisville fans I know, who really are decent people, can continue to cheer on that program. Would you, would I, be so lacking in character to cheer a team led by such an obvious turd of a person in light of his public and personal displays over the past 5 years?
I believe it too, but to me it doesn't make up for all the bullshit that he and his cronies have cooked up to try and stop UK from owning his ass in recent years. Pitino earned the banner for what he did here. That is history and will never change. Thinking that banner will come down is less probable than Santa Claus. It is foolish to think otherwise.
They literally built their modern existence out of the series with us, what a cop out, lose a bunch and quit the series. If I was a fan of that team I would be more concerned with how the program is running and the public perception. There are only so many Utah Valleys out there, you have to play some decent OOC foes and a conference schedule, that is just the way it works

Since the game doesn't matter that much, I'd be open to dropping LPT. Not because we can't beat them, but because we have more to lose than they do. Every time we play them, it's another Super Bowl. We mean a lot more on their schedule than they mean on ours.
We used to need them on all of our schedules (all sports). Those days are over. For sure, I think we spell out our terms to continue the series, starting with when this game is played on the schedule.
Too much LPT blue in Bailout Arena every other year. Won't be at all unhappy to see that end as well. They can show up for the NCAA tourney every few years, and I can sell them my tix at a big markup.
