Remember when we used to win tournament games?

I remember when we absolutely dominated the SEC Tournament. I remember the stretch between 1992 and 1996 where we didn’t lose a single SEC Tournament game until losing the Championship to Mississippi State in 1996, but won the NCAA Title a few weeks later. (Pitino’s SEC Tournament record was an astounding 17-1. He made the Elite 8 every post-season but 1, and the Final Four 3 times, so I don’t think SEC Tournament success ever hurt us in the NCAA Tournament).

I wish every game would matter to Cal, because they sure do matter to fans.

You must realize that, our current coach, prioritizes other things than winning meaningful games at UK. If we do win games that are meaningful to fans, it's just a bonus.

Coach Cal enjoying his lifetime contract and annual loss in the first round of the SECT in the year 2035-2036.
One of the funniest things I've ever seen.

Kentucky has won two, TWO total tournament games since 2019.

Not just SECT. I mean ALL TOURNAMENTS! SEC and NCAA!!

So we've not been relevant in either the conference or NCAA tournaments for what may be 5 years if we lose to a 13 seed next week, which is very possible as you damned well know the committee is going to pit us up against a lower seed with a ton of offense.

If in game coaching determines the outcome UK will most likely lose. If talent decides UK mostly wins.

I really am done with Cal. Having said that, I feel like he was trying to win today and not sandbag it by any means. I think he has just taken the talent as far as he can. With all due respect, I am wondering if there is some mental alertness or age issues starting to come into play with him. I don’t think he was ever the greatest X and O coach but it just seems like now days everyone takes his lunch money not just the top tier coaches.

Crazy to think the last time we won an exciting tournament, Tyler Herro was on the team.
