Remebering yester-year and old (er) threads...

Was remembering some older threads and thought about the thread posted where Rock Oliver was hired and a poster claimed he came up to Rock to shake his hand and Rock took a swing at him.

I remember more but enjoy reading about older posts that may bring back fond memories.... any others?

that would be warrior & gatherer. boy me and black label wildcat really brought the best out of that guy. it climaxed with a thread with only his posts from three handles. i forget the third handle but lol.

Some of the best unintentional comedy used to come from posters giving their "inside" scouting reports of our in-state recruits. I recall posters who'd watched their high school games assuring us that Jared Carter was the next Bill Walton, and Dakotah Euton a Larry Bird clone, players sure to lead us to national titles. Wish I could dig some of those back up just for the laughs.

My all time favorite great thread is the John Wall thread. Pure brilliance.

Always loved the flight plan threads to try and figure out if certain coaches were coming to Lexington for coaching vacancies. Then some other poster would then chime in with an "insider" scoop on this said coach's interest and imminent purchase of certain real estate.

Those were a hoot!

The most ridiculous thread(s) was when RQ Arnold made a bet with BradyJames. RQ lost and then tried to say he didn't bet but there were literally thousands of witnesses on here. It only got better when RQ kept resurfacing under different screen names. He didn't fool many people though because anytime somebody would criticize Mitch, he would drag out a trail of stats to defend him. In fact, he still does that to this day but I won't out him. Most of us know who he is anyway.
