Let's start. This will be long, but why not just read the WHOLE thing. Never know... you may be surprised of what you might learn. That's said, let's proceed.
What in the Hell does anyone on here have anything to be negative about when it comes to Kentucky Athletics? Yes, life can be hard sometimes. As blessed as we all are, sometimes things just suck. We have all faced stuff like this before. Luckily for me, it's gravy in the real world for me right now; and as a UK fan, the next 4 days starting tonight are packed with excitement.
Even if you are one of the fans who think you are clever by raining negativity of UK football on different threads that were doing perfectly fine with positive thinking before you came barreling through the door with your 'Look at ME' threads bashing the team over how they have performed up to this point; or bashing fellow fans for having hope. I'm not saying you're a bad fan, just stating that either: 1.) you're a troll;
2.) you're attention seeking has annoyed everyone around you so you grab the keyboard thinking this time will be different and they will love your constant pessimistic post and you may one day get that friend you've always wanted; 3.) you wholeheartedly believe that if you can tear every positive person down, you can climb to the top proving negative ideology has prevailed; 4.) and this is my soft side coming out to give you the benefit of the doubt because you are someone that always prepares yourself for the worst case scenario by using the technique of talking yourself out of hope by filling message boards with posts that I ultimately have to scroll past. #4 is annoying to the positive crowd, but I understand the argument as if may improve your mental state in the event that catastrophe strikes. (To be clear, I still think you're a bum for involving others who have to endure the antics without their blessing.) And yes, its a message board. 'I do what I want to and say what I please'. Great. But you're still in my Book of Bums.
With that said, let's move forward. Here are my top 5 things UK fans should be excited about over the next 4 days.
1.) Bear with me here. So, my little man is turn 3 tomorrow. More for me than EVERY UK fan but hear me out. He wakes up, eats breakfast, brushes his teeth (reluctantly), and then puts his UK jersey on without even being asked to every single Saturday since week 1. Now, to play devil's advocate, he also does this most Sundays making it more likely that he correlates me being home with a UK football game taking place at some point that day. But the common thread here is the threads he flaunts... a UK Jersey. So, with that said, UK fans be excited with me, SHEP IS TURNING 3.
2.) I decided to do this earlier this afternoon. It was a light day for me as Fridays usually are. The bad thing is that because they are so light, I go visit clients just to catch up and end up talking until 6:55PM knowing I don't have anything else to do for the week. But at 7:00PM, the Cats took the court for their final prep before heading to St. Louis for the showdown with the 2ND WINNINGEST PROGRAM OF ALL TIME.
3.) Well, no matter your projection of tomorrow's game, can we just all agree that Alabama coming to town is exciting in its own right? It's historical every time you get to go against the best to ever do it. And circling back to the projection talk, one thing that we can all agree on is that Kentucky has not loss to Alabama this year. For the record, from everything I have seen, this line is a true Kentucky +7.5. I actually feel Vegas thinks this as well, but they have to responsibly plant their line deep into the hearts of the public outlook to get the action as close to split as possible. I won't name a score, but I am telling you that there is way too much stock put into the LSU win. Big rivalry game, but also a game that was called favorably for the home team in front of a raucous crowd. And everyone takes the time to go look at the statistical data on the LSU defense. I know they have been bad, and the media has not shied away from mentioning it, but I never imagined that they were this bad. Last thing on this game (not pouting... js)
4.) KU / UK ... When it comes to... never mind, no words needed.
and for #5... Dang. I done forgot. Oh well.
Wait, I remembered. Since my son has a birthday tomorrow and I was fortunate enough to hit some milestones professionally, I was awarded a trip to Nashville for a couple of nights.
So #5 is still unknown until we know which one of you will be gifted 2 tix and a parking pass to the BAMA-UK football game tomorrow at NOON. I will award it to the member who authors the 13th comment in this thread. Im trusting that you will not attempt if you can't or have no intentions of going.

Section 223 - Row 6 - Seats 15/16
PS7 Parking Garage Pass
*** I have 4 tix, but a family friend requested two so he got Seats 17/18. You should spark up a conversation with him. He loves to share stories about his family and they are pretty interesting. Especially the ones about his niece, who played basketball for 2 Top 5 NCAA Division 1 schools, and his nephews, specifically the one who plays the position that throws the ball and, ironically enough, recently committed to play for Stoops and Kentucky.
