It is refreshing to see real basketball played and no longer a farm system for the NBA.
Don't worry, one of the negative Nancies made an appearance tonight in the game thread. I'm sure a few more will follow.

I have been waiting so long to have my team back it almost brought tears to my eyes early in this game.

I quit watching UK BB the past 2+ years. I was so over Calipari: his attitude, rebuilding the roster every year, no development of the players, 'the process', 'we're young', generational wealth, NBA draft, the whole schtick.
I watched quite a bit of the game and I love the way we play. Running plays, constant movement, fast breaks that look like they've been coached, out of bounds plays, deny defense, hands in the passing lanes, all of it.
Add in that Pope wants to be here, loves UK, his dream job and I'm pumped. They may not go any further than Cal's team this year, but Pope is recruiting well and players will want to play in his system and for him. We're in very good hands, I believe.

Watching team first players, having them coached and seeing unselfish play across the board - wow! I about fell over when I watched two back to back out of bounds plays coming out of a time out. Kentucky has a team and coach!

Thought this was going to say it’s refreshing to see UK manhandle a less talented team and it not turn into a nail biter. Your topic is good too though.
