I'll ask again. Do his parents still come to UK games, or were they just riding on the coattails of Reed? Their, both Reed and parent's, utter silence when it came to the possibility of Reed coming back to UK or even WANTING to come back, spoke volumes to me. Reed sold his soul to Calipari, he probably thinks he wouldn't be ultra rich if it wasn't for Cal because on some other team he may have been planted on the bench to "learn" behind others. Just a hop along the way for a Cal guy.

Even if they haven’t been at Rupp this year why would it be viewed as riding the coattail of Reed ?

I’m not rooting against Reed but I wouldn’t have had an Arkansas shirt on, never. Reed should have gotten to play more than he did while here. If you grow up here and your dad played here, I don’t see how you can wear their shirt on this day. He could always say he will pull for Arkansas when they are not playing Kentucky. Kentucky is different from any other program. When you bleed blue, you only wear blue.

Agree 100%. He was Reed’s coach and Reed was a top-5 draft pick. I don’t blame him for having some level of loyalty to the guy.

Also, everyone can hate Cal but he let UK off easy by taking the Arkansas job instead of forcing a buyout. I hate how his last handful of years turned out, but the guy gave us a title, a ton of great players we all love, and some fantastic memories. The folks on here treating him like he’s enemy #1 are just ignorant. And this is coming from a guy who desperately wanted him out for several years.
