I fully agree he made the right decision to go pro, but I don’t agree with your second point. Shooting is an elite skill that every NBA team desires. As long as he can be ok on defense (which I fully think he can be), Reed will always be valued as at least a scorer off the bench. Unfortunately he’s on a team that doesn’t need him to do much right now, but that doesn’t mean he won’t stick around in the league.Two things can be true at once. Reed made the right decision to go pro when he did because he was a lottery pick, and now he's set for life. However, he will probably struggle to stay on an NBA roster once his rookie contract expires.
