Reality

It's a win. Win some more games, and this one will be a distant memory.

The only really concerning thing, to me, is that UK still hasn't put together a 60 minute stretch of real, quality football. If they can do that, they'll be very dangerous.

Nice try, champ. You just compared this game to the 2011 PLAYOFF game against Princeton. And Stoops, who is learning on the job, doesn't hold a candle to Calipari, who can learn from his mistakes. Furthermore, nobody had any idea how the 2011 season was going to end up until after it was over. Are you predicting we will go to the Sugar Bowl now? ROFL You have NO IDEA what you're talking about.

Well by golly, you got me there! I didn't realize the final score didn't determined the team's record. One must dig further and qualify victories and hallow victories! It's pure genius!

Yep Ohio was bad. Losing to Big Ben was bad. Worst ever though was likely getting blown out by Indiana in 2005. Freaking Indiana. It doesn't get any lower.

I'm sure theres some real gems during the Curry years I've blocked from my memory though.

Buckets, none of us are happy with the game execution and replying to the troll is all irish was doing, Prime is an idiot. Let's take the win and forget about it. We have a lot to improve before AU gets here.

What's worse is having emotional issues, like denial, and integrity issues, where you spin the game into the box score and willfully ignore what actually happened in the game.

If you merely look at the box score you think, "Wow UK had a little closer game than they expected" but you don't assume that they were down 2 TDs with 7:00 to go and crapped the bed like a bunch of high schoolers from Sisters of the Blind for 4/5 of the game.

and what I saw was a makeshift OL, more OL injuries and then coming together to do what they had to do to win. By the way, W's don't have asterisks and this isn't horshoes. EKU almost won. All they did do was lose.

Can I point out the glaringly interesting thing here. Prime has something like 12000 posts and 46 likes, many of those tonight from his fellow haters. Brian has 3500 posts with 1100 likes. Not that this like system is important but clearly one of you has more respect on this board. Just saying.

Towles played poorly tonight. It's okay...he did. Like a lot of our players did It's not a secret. Anybody follow the main editor of this site on Twitter? Maybe you should. Pat made a lot of clutch plays at the end of the game, but anyone who thinks Baker wasn't the catalyst for our comeback didn't watch the game and only read the box score. Again, kudos to Pat for finishing her off, but it was still overall a disappointing performance.

What a POS liar.

We played like crap, overcame and scored back to back TDs and 3 consecutive stops on defense. That part was Good.

All I ever said about coaching is that we must do better.

My exact words: "I never dreamed EKU would give us this type of game"


You have zero integrity - you lie, you troll, you deny any praise to players that came back, you find zero positives in a comeback victory, you complain because a kid uses cliches in his postgame interview.

Do you not see what you type?

I'm sorry but again I have to defend the kid here.

He had some bad passes. But his protection was awful - how come no one is talking about the 20 yards rushing? Did our running backs suck? A qb needs protection.

Patrick does not do well under pressure. However, people dismissing that he went for 330, 3 TDs at 70% is not right, you cannot throw 42 passes with those numbers and say he sucked. Who else on the team had a better night? Baker maybe? CJ maybe? Lots of guys had worse games tonight.

He completed 9 passes to 5 guys those last 2 drives. Again we also had a few drops during the game.

He made a great comeback with 2 TDs in 3 minutes. If he is going to get shit on if we had lost even with those stats he should get some praise that we came back and won.

Only quoting stats shows a lack of any authentic analysis of what happened on the field. Anyone can read a box score. How many passing yards/completions did Pat rack up tonight from throwing easy screens/short passes and having our playmakers eat field? How pitiful was the 15 yard sack he took?He threw two áwful picks, easily could have had a third. 3 tds looks great in the box score, but each was the result of a decent pass and incredible plays from his receivers. Now obviously you can't discount it, but when you just say "but he had 3 tds!!!!!1!1!1!" it makes it sound like he was just a puppet master carving up ekus DBs, when in reality it had significantly more to do with incredible receiver plays. Again, feel compelled to "defend" him if you want, but anyone who watched the game and doesn't feel the need to stick up for any given player on a message board(including the editor of this board) completely disagrees with you

The sack was from the backside.

He came back with TWO td drives in 3 minutes.

He hit several receivers. He made big throws and wr's made big catches.

Pumping the wr's and shitting on the passer? How about the drops? No mention. How about the crap blocking? No mention.

With zero running game and no blocking for 3.5 qtrs the kid completes 70% for 330 and leads us back.....


EVERY player (and coach) had a rough game but PT bounced back perfectly.

You cannot discount 70% on 43 throws or 74% on 69 including last game.

He is inconsistent, he has trouble with pressure, tell us something we ALL dont already know. But the kid is a gamer this year and some of you all refuse to give him any praise.


He had bad plays but he also won the game for us.


WE DID NOT WIN DESPITE PATRICK TOWLES.
